Highlights

MaxSun has launched the RTX 4090 MGG, featuring five cooling fans and a three-slot design, continuing the trend of its MGG lineup.

The MaxSun GPU offers a detachable screen with customizable LEDs and a durable build. However, its price and availability on a global scale remain unknown. MaxSun has recently introduced the RTX 4090 MGG, featuring an impressive five cooling fans. This addition expands their MGG lineup, which already includes the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti. The RTX 4090 MGG maintains a three-slot design and a three-fan front, with two extra fans positioned at each end on the top of the card. Currently, it is uncertain whether this new GPU will be released in the worldwide market.

In March, MaxSun introduced the first graphics cards in its Mega Gamer (MGG) series to feature five cooling fans. Included in this release were the RTX 4080 MGG and RTX 4070 Ti MGG, both equipped with three 100mm cooling fans and two smaller fans at the top for enhanced cooling. Prior to these models, the GALAX Serious Gaming series with triple fans held the record, offering an optional 102mm fan that could be attached to the backplate.

The MaxSun RTX 4090 MGG OC 24G boasts a base clock speed of 2235 MHz and a boost clock speed of 2580 MHz. It provides three DisplayPort (v1.4a) ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. With dimensions of 337x137x66 mm, this graphics card is a three-slot card, an impressive feat considering the inclusion of two additional, albeit smaller, fans. The top-mounted fans function to draw heat away from the GPU, working in conjunction with the three larger fans. They are equipped with Zero RPM technology, enabling the fans to activate only when necessary.

Furthermore, the MaxSun RTX 4090 MGG OC 24G includes a detachable screen that can be powered separately through USB Type-C. It features customizable LEDs, allowing users to display text or graphics, and can be effortlessly attached to the graphics card via magnets. The graphics card boasts a full metal cowl and a robust construction.

In terms of performance, the MaxSun RTX 4080 MGG was examined by Gamers Nexus, who discovered that there were no discernible temperature variations when using the two additional fans. The tests revealed that the temperatures remained consistent within the margin of error, whether the additional fans were utilized or not. Moreover, the inclusion of the extra fans added to the overall noise emitted by the card. MaxSun has maintained the power targets for its new card, with a similar TDP of 450W compared to the Founders Edition card.

The price and sale date for the new MaxSun graphics card are currently unknown. Although it has been released in China, it remains uncertain whether it will be available in the global market. While the other MGG series cards from MaxSun have not been officially launched outside China, they can be bought on AliExpress. Alternatively, here are some other available RTX 4090 SKUs.
