Several players have already completed the main campaign of Diablo 4 within days of its official launch, joining those who have been playing for a week with the Ultimate and Deluxe Editions. The campaign itself, taking roughly 30 hours, provides a solid amount of content for players seeking hours of dungeon-crawling action. However, this is just the beginning, as there are numerous other missions and content to explore throughout the game. Even after finishing the campaign, players can uncover the largest map in any Diablo game to-date, challenge themselves with the Capstone and Nightmare Dungeons, collect Aspects, and perfect their builds through the Paragon Boards. With the upcoming Battle Pass and Season, those who have finished the campaign will only begin to scratch the surface of what Diablo 4 has to offer.
Capstone and Nightmare Dungeons Represent Diablo 4's Toughest Challenges
After completing the main story, players can take on the newly-unlocked Capstone Dungeons, which offer unique bosses and loot, including highly sought-after legendaries that can alter a player's build. With level caps of 50 and 70, these massive dungeons are a challenge for even the most skilled players. Successfully completing a Capstone Dungeon unlocks World Tier 3 and grants access to Nightmare Sigils, which can be used to transform any dungeon in Sanctuary into a Nightmare Dungeon. These aptly-named challenges feature altered layouts and enemy encounters, and offer some of the best loot available in Diablo 4. However, players must be prepared to face Helltides - timed-events that boost the power of Lilith's minions and spawn even tougher enemies.
Enter the Endgame of Diablo 4 by Increasing World Tier and Completing Paragon Boards
After conquering one of the two Capstone Dungeons, players can advance to World Tier 3, which offers a higher level of difficulty but also greater rewards in terms of both gold and experience. However, the endgame doesn't stop there. Once players have reached a high enough level and acquired better equipment, they can take on the Level 70 Capstone Dungeon and progress to World Tier 4. This tier not only offers the best monetary and experience rewards, but also grants players access to Sacred and Unique items unique to Diablo 4.
Beyond exploring the game's vast world and tackling increasingly difficult challenges, the post-campaign endgame of Diablo 4 introduces players to Paragon Boards, which allow for the ultimate customization of their character's build and progression. With the Paragon Glyphs, players can specialize their skills and create unique strategies to approach the game's true endgame. Although the future of Diablo 4's live-service content remains unknown, there is already an abundance of content to keep players engaged for weeks after completing the campaign.
Diablo 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
