Fire Country season 2 has recently concluded, but cocreator Max Thieriot is already collaborating with the show's costume designer, Sara Byblow, for season 3.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Fire Country season 2, episode 10.

"We've already had two fittings," Byblow shared with We before the season finale on Friday, May 17. Thieriot's character Bode is finally getting out of prison after being at Three Rock convict camp for two seasons.

Byblow mentioned that both she and Thieriot, who is 35 years old, are figuring out Bode's style for season 3, which will premiere this fall.

During the mid-season, I was busy creating tons of inspiration boards and sharing them with Max to get his input. It's thrilling to take a character we already adore and bring them to life in a fresh way. We haven't had the chance to do that yet.

In the season 2 finale, viewers got a glimpse into Bode's country roots. He rocks a denim-on-denim look in one scene, showing off his rugged personality. We're really pumped about how his character keeps evolving.

While Byblow said she “appreciates all types” of actors, even those who “don’t care” what they wear on camera, working with Thieriot has been a treat.

"He told Us that there are some actors who really want to be involved and it becomes a natural part of their process in becoming their character. She mentioned Thieriot as one of those stars. She also mentioned that Max is very enthusiastic about getting involved. She feels that during his fittings, he wants to go through all the clothes with her."

Byblow enthusiastically shared, "He has his own opinions and we have been working closely together to determine Bode's direction and style. This collaboration has me feeling incredibly excited."

She further expressed that her job becomes significantly more enjoyable when an actor participates in fittings and exclaims, "Wow, we are shaping this character together."

Byblow expressed happiness that Bode is released from prison, despite the challenges he still faces in his life.

Viewers witnessed Bode leaving the church as his ex-girlfriend Gabriela was getting married to Diego in the season finale. The episode ended with Gabriela standing at the altar, leaving fans to wonder about the future of Bode and Gabriela's relationship until the next season.

Arcila, 34, hinted to Us that being a person of integrity and kindness may lead the universe to guide you to where you belong, even if you stray from the expected path. She expressed her anticipation for the upcoming season's storyline, feeling like a member of the audience eagerly waiting to see what unfolds.

Thieriot chose to remain silent on whether Bode and Gabriela’s season 2 kiss will impact her upcoming marriage. However, he did share with Us that Bode and Gabriela may need some time apart now that he is adjusting to life outside of the show.

Bode's co-star Thieriot mentioned that Gabriela is like a part of Bode's addiction. He felt that it was good for Bode to have some distance from her, as it allowed him to be less reactive and impulsive.

Thieriot also noted that there is still a lot more to unfold before fans get to see the final outcome of Bode and Gabriela's relationship.

Season 3 of Fire Country will premiere on CBS in fall 2024.
