Survivors in Dead by Daylight have various methods to quickly heal themselves, including powerful Medkits and Mikaela Reid’s Boon: Circle of Healing. However, most Killers rely on perks like Sloppy Butcher and Franklin’s Demise to counter this healing. Unlike others, The Plague is a unique Killer with inherent anti-healing abilities, making her one of the most oppressive Killers in the game.
Given the existing pressure on Survivors, The Plague only requires a few perks to effectively control her trials. This guide will showcase the best builds to use on The Plague, encompassing both teachable and non-teachable perks suitable for players of different skill levels.

Dead by Daylight: Best Builds for The Plague
The Plague: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)
Introducing the revamped perks for 2023 in Dead by Daylight, designed to enhance the adrenaline-filled chase. Get ready to explore the extraordinary power of The Plague and maximize her infectious abilities with these potent new buffs.
Employing an array of formidable base kit perks, The Plague exhibits unrivaled efficacy in impeding generator progress from the game's onset, skillfully enticing individuals into her intricate network of infected generators. This meticulously crafted strategy strives to subjugate Survivors by severing their access to vital resources and highly coveted Exhaustion perks.
Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the beginning of the trial, the killer blocks the three generators that are farthest from their starting location for a duration of 120 seconds or until the first survivor gets knocked down.
Fearmonger (General Perk) – Survivors who are repairing a generator are affected by the Blindness and Exhausted conditions. These effects remain for 5 seconds after ceasing repairs.
Claustrophobia (General Perk) – Once a generator is finished, all vault locations will be inaccessible for 30 seconds.
Bitter Murmur (General Perk) – Whenever a generator is completed, the auras of Survivors within a 16-meter radius of that generator are exposed for 5 seconds. After the final generator is completed, the auras of all Survivors will be revealed for 10 seconds.
The Plague Build (2023)
Survivor health states are already under pressure, and The Plague excels at applying additional pressure to generators through regression perks combined with her Vile Purge ability. This strategy involves utilizing perks like Call of Brine and Tinkerer to monitor the most advanced generators, while The Xenomorph's Ultimate Weapon allows The Plague to extend the endgame and increase the chances of securing a kill.
The Xenomorph's Ultimate Weapon, when activated by opening a locker, causes any Survivor within the Terror Radius to scream and become afflicted with the Blindness ailment for a duration of 30 seconds. This perk has a cooldown period of 30 seconds.
Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – Hooking a Survivor and kicking a generator within the next 45 seconds will eliminate 30% of its current progress.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – The Killer begins with four tokens. When each Survivor is hooked on a unique white Scourge Hook, one token is lost and the generator with the highest progress explodes, resulting in a 25% loss of progress.
Eruption (The Nemesis) – When a generator is kicked, it will be surrounded by a yellow glow. If a survivor is then taken down, all the highlighted generators will lose 10% progress, and the aura of any survivors working on them will be revealed for 12 seconds.
Dead by Daylight is presently accessible on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
