Alongside this, players must also acquire proficiency in Spells essential for solving the riddles within the Trials. Throughout the Trials, players will encounter immovable spheres, concealed fireflies, and solid statues, all of which can be overcome by utilizing the correct Spells. While there are various methods for acquiring new incantations, the most effective approach is to seek guidance from the Professors at Hogwarts.

Merlin Trial #1 - Platform Bridge Puzzle

When individuals initially venture into the Poidsear Coast region, they will come across one of the renowned Merlin Trials. By uttering the incantation Revelio, players are able to expose a pair of stone pillars emerging from the water just ahead, serving as prominent indicators denoting the commencement of the challenging quest.

Merlin Trial #2 - Firefly Puzzle

To successfully complete this Trial, it is of utmost importance to skillfully leap from one pillar to another without plunging into the water. Nonetheless, the ultimate jump poses a serious challenge, since the final pillar resides at quite a considerable distance from the third one. In order to conquer this formidable leap, players must ensure they have upgraded the powerful Swift talent, which empowers the protagonists to effortlessly sprint through the air and safely land on the last pillar, thus evading a perilous fall.

Located west of the Bandit Camp Castle Waypoint in the Poidsear Coast region, the Merlin Trial awaits. As players initiate the trial, three enchanting swarms of fireflies will materialize. To conquer this challenge, harness the power of Lumos to captivate the fireflies, guiding them towards one of the trio of resplendent moonstones. Gently place the radiant firefly swarm within the chosen moonstone and proceed to repeat this ethereal process with the remaining two pillars.

The first two moonstones are easy to spot, but for the third one, players must look under the mountain by following the broken train rail.

Merlin Trial #3 - Stone Pillar Puzzle

Located right next to the previous Merlin Trial, there is another Trial situated on the shore of the Poidsear Coast.

When players activate the Merlin Trial, they will need to demolish five stone pillars. Although all the pillars are within the character's range, one is particularly tricky to locate as it is concealed. To overcome this, protagonists can utilize Revelio to effortlessly unveil all five pillars. Furthermore, players can opt to employ either one Confringo spell or two Bombarda spells to eradicate the pillars.

Merlin Trial #4 - Orbs Platforms Puzzle

Like the puzzle with the big stone sphere in Hogwarts Legacy, certain Merlin Trials challenge players to position several smaller orbs onto stone platforms. In this specific Trial, there are three platforms encircled by three sets of orbs.

The orbs in the first group are situated close to their respective platform. In order to successfully finish the Trial, players are required to use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa spells on the orbs and transfer them onto the platform.

The final two sets of orbs present a greater challenge when it comes to their discovery. One set can be found resting atop a stone tomb with a peculiar slab that can be shifted. In order to locate the pit, players can utilize the spell Revelio to reveal its presence beneath a wooden board. Subsequently, employing the spell Confringo will enable players to obliterate the said board. To transport the stone sphere to the pit, players need to cast Wingardium Leviosa and carefully place it within the pit. This action signifies the successful completion of the Merlin Trial.

Merlin Trial #7 - Stone Cube Puzzle

First Cube Puzzle Solution

The Merlin Trial, situated southwest of Poidsear Castle Floo Flame in Hogwarts Legacy, presents a challenge for players. To successfully conquer the Trial, players are tasked with deciphering three symbol cubes scattered in its vicinity. Notably, the bottom cube remains unresponsive to spells, while the top cube can only be manipulated through the use of Flipendo.

Stand in front of the first symbol and cast Flipendo to flip the cube.

Move to the right and cast the same spell twice on this side.

Second Cube Puzzle Solution

Cast Flipendo from the first side.

Move to the left and cast the spell again on the second side.

Third Cube Puzzle Solution

Hit Flipendo from the first symbol.

Move to the right and cast the spell again on the second symbol.

Go right one more time and cast Flipendo on the third symbol to solve the cube.

Merlin Trial #8 - Stone Sphere Puzzle

Once again, there is a stone sphere known as the Merlin Trial that players can discover in the heart of the Poidsear Coast region. It can be easily reached from the majority of the Floo Flames in that area. The stone sphere required to solve this intriguing puzzle is positioned right beside the Merlin Trial. To complete the challenge, all that is left to do is cast Revelio and locate the stone pit, which is situated south of the Merlin altar.

Merlin Trial #9 - Firefly Puzzle

To successfully complete the Merlin Trial, utilize the Wingardium Leviosa spell to levitate the stone sphere and carefully maneuver it towards the pit until you come across a broken path. Once there, make mid-air adjustments to position the sphere correctly and then swiftly cast Depulso to direct it into the stone pit.

The Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy is located southwest of the Phoenix Mountain Cave Waypoint. In this trial, players are tasked with finding and transporting fireflies to three moonstone pillars. To begin, use the Revelio spell to locate the moonstone pillars. Luckily, both the fireflies and moonstones are conveniently situated near the Merlin Trial, ensuring easy discovery.

Release a cluster of fireflies from behind a wooden panel, situated adjacent to a moonstone. Utilize the spell Confringo to obliterate the panel and steer the fireflies towards any of the three moonstones.

Merlin Trial #10 - Brazier Puzzle

The final challenge of the Merlin Trial awaits adventurers at the northwest section of the mesmerizing Poidsear Coast. Accomplishing this ultimate task involves discovering and setting ablaze the trio of brazier pillars situated in the same northwestern realm of the Poidsear Coast.

Once all the pillars are discovered, position yourself between them and swiftly unleash the spell Confringo upon each. It is possible that one of the pillars may be cunningly concealed amidst a cluster of leaves; use Confringo to ignite it, bringing to light the brazier hidden behind. Thankfully, the remaining pillars stand in an expansive field, readily attainable and easily accessible.

Lumos

Puzzle: Firefly Puzzle

Lumos is one of the easiest Spells to learn in Hogwarts Legacy. Professor Fig will teach it during The Path to Hogwarts Quest.

Confringo

Puzzle: Stone Pillar and Brazier Puzzle

The spell known as Confringo holds immense power in combat, and what's peculiar is that it is actually taught by a student rather than a Professor. Sebastian Sallow, renowned for his insatiable thirst for knowledge, is the instructor responsible for this spell. Puzzle: Orbs Platforms Puzzle

Just like Lumos, Accio is acquired early in the game. When students attend the first Charms Class, Professor Ronen will teach them Accio and guide them through practicing it in Hogwarts Legacy's Summoner's Court.

Puzzle: Orbs Platforms Puzzle
