In Hogwarts Legacy, there are numerous side quests centered around creatures, particularly in the latter half of the game. One notable quest is "Rescuing Rococo," where players venture to the far south of the world map to rescue a missing Niffler from a perilous group of Ashwinders.
To unlock this quest, players must first complete The High Keep with Natty and obtain Hippogriff mounts. Once accomplished, players can initiate the quest by conversing with Agness Coffey, a vendor located in the Bainburgh settlement found in the southeastern part of the map.
Updated August 28th, 2023: If players want to achieve 100 percent completion in Hogwarts Legacy, they will be required to complete several side quests, including those involving the handling of various creatures. One specific side quest, titled "Rescuing Rococo," involves the rescue of a Niffler. However, locating Rococo is not as simple as it seems, as players will need to solve some challenging puzzles. To assist players in successfully completing the Rescuing Rococo side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, the following guide has been updated and now includes a helpful video.
How to Complete the Rescuing Rococo Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy
After conversing with Agness, players should proceed south towards a location known as Manor Cape. There, they must conquer a group of adversaries and subsequently locate the imposing wooden doors that serve as the entrance to Henrietta's Hideaway. Once inside, players will be required to position the cube on the designated circle adorned with an ice crystal and apply the Glacius spell to make it emit a radiant glow. In order to unveil the fire cube, players must ignite the torch positioned beneath the left statue. Once obtained, the fire cube can be transported to the platform, where a fire spell must be cast upon it to disclose the concealed passage.
In the upcoming section, players will be required to employ Arresto Momentum on a magical floor to advance. By utilizing Revelio to track the path of coins, they will soon arrive at a spacious chamber housing a damaged statue in the distant corner. Once the adversaries have been vanquished, players can employ Accio to summon the cube from the higher region on the left and subsequently place it atop the circular surface adorned with a feather on the left side of the chamber. However, this time, casting Levioso rather than Glacius will be necessary. To proceed, players should retrace their steps up the stairs, relocate a brazier onto the platform with flames, and perform a fire spell to unveil the concealed door.
The passageway that has just been uncovered will guide players to a chamber where the missing Niffler awaits. This area is rather small, so players shouldn't encounter any difficulty in coaxing the creature into the Nab Sack. In this room, there is a statue that can be used to return to the entrance. However, before leaving, players should backtrack to the larger chamber and search for the enchanted wall on the right side. When players stand in front of it, the wall will automatically open. If they haven't done so already, players will need to retrieve the Musical Map from this room, as it is essential for the "Solved by the Bell" side quest.
Once players are prepared, they can leave the hideaway and utilize the Floo Flames network to swiftly return to Agness in Bainburgh. At this point, they have several options regarding Rococo, the enchanting Niffler. They can willingly return Rococo to Agness, ask for a reward, or, similar to other quests involving magnificent creatures like "Take the Biscuit" and "Birds of a Feather," they can simply decide to keep the adorable Niffler for themselves. Regardless of their choice, players will receive a generous reward of 180 experience points and the coveted Niffler Fur-Lined Hat cosmetic item.
