Getting More Parts in Armored Core 6To overcome the game's difficult challenges, players must become adept at mech building, a key mechanic in Armored Core 6. This requires flexibility in loadouts, allowing players to create light skirmishers or powerful flying spider tanks. However, before embarking on these creations, it's crucial to first unlock the necessary parts.
Unlocking parts has always been a fundamental feature in the series, and Armored Core 6 stays true to this tradition. In order to get their hands on formidable weapons and robust chassis, players must pilot their robots and exert commendable effort to unlock the desired parts.
How to Get More Parts
Unlocking mech parts can be done through various methods. The most straightforward way is by completing missions. As players advance in the Armored Core 6 campaign, they will gradually gain access to a wider range of aftermarket guns, body types, and internal components for their mechs. In the later stages, more advanced parts will become available, and by completing missions for specific factions like Balam and Arquebus, players will unlock themed parts.
The next way to unlock more parts in Armored Core 6 is through Loghunts. During certain missions, players may come across enemies that are marked with a Combat Log icon on the top left of the lock-on reticule when engaged in combat. The first of these enemies appears in the "Destroy the Transport Helicopters" mission - the BAWS Tetrapod that Walter instructs players to ignore. By gathering enough logs, you can increase your Hunter Ranks and gain access to new parts that are exclusive to Loghunts.
In addition, players can acquire additional parts by successfully finishing the tutorial missions. These missions serve as brief introductions to combat fundamentals, unique mech archetypes, and weapons mechanics. They can be completed in just a few minutes and offer highly effective parts for specific builds and early game scenarios.
Since Loghunts are linked to story advancement and the availability of tutorial missions is restricted, players' most favorable option to obtain more parts lies in the main campaign missions. If players find themselves struggling in a challenging encounter, they will need to experiment with their existing resources and adapt their strategies accordingly.
You can buy parts that are unlocked from missions at the Parts Shop. However, parts obtained from tutorial missions and Loghunt are free and can be immediately installed on mechs.
Armored Core 6 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
