Every sports fan is familiar with the disappointment of their team making a significant gain, only to have it nullified by a penalty that had no impact on the play. This frustration remains in Madden NFL 24 and can agitate gamers who do not wish to experience this annoying and disheartening issue.
For those who appreciate the game's realism, they can choose to endure it and accept the positives and negatives that come with it. After all, occasionally these penalties may also work in their favor against their opponents. However, players who prioritize enjoyment over replicating football precisely will prefer to deactivate penalties in Madden NFL 24.
How To Disable Penalties
Scroll over to settings (the gear icon on the right side of the screen).
Select the 'Penalties' menu.
Set the bar to 0/100 on all sliders.
Select the 'off' option on all buttons.
Please exit the settings screen without undoing any changes.
Instead of completely disabling the penalties, players may opt to simply decrease their frequency. For instance, by disabling penalties, players can hit the quarterback or kicker even after the ball has been released. It may seem amusing until one of the top quarterbacks in the game gets injured for the remainder of the year.
Disabling penalties alone is not enough; it may be beneficial to also disable injuries in order to prevent the unrealistic scenario of teams relying on backup quarterbacks due to excessive late hits. In franchise mode, finding the right balance between realism and enjoyment becomes crucial. Ultimately, each gamer is responsible for determining the ideal balance for themselves. Additionally, some gamers may even enjoy increasing the number of penalties called for amusement, finding humor in the referees' strictness.
Madden NFL 24 will be released on August 18th, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
