What sets Double Swing apart from the Barbarian's more popular builds is its utilization of the class's unique mechanics, including various forms of Crowd Control, synergies with Bleed, weapon-swapping system, and the Barbarian's signature heavy swings. It offers a fast-paced and dynamic playstyle that is lethal, making it an ideal choice for players seeking a break from incessant spinning and shouting.

Diablo 4: Barbarian Double Swing Build Main Skills

This build boasts long stuns, high DPS, and near-permanent Berserking uptime thanks to a combination of item bonuses and passive skill nodes.

For increased mobility, the Enhanced Lunging Strike is the ideal Basic Skill to opt for. The build does not necessarily require any of its branching upgrades. However, if a consistent Stun source is desired, it can be replaced with Bash.

As for the primary damage dealer, look no further than Furious Double Swing, which will be backed up by Warrior's Death Blow. The latter is particularly effective against bosses and can easily take down most trash mobs on Torment difficulty with a single hit. Moreover, both skills grant the player with Berserking, which can be sustained by simply using Double Swing to hit targets.

Using Challenging Shout and Rallying Cry is essential in most Barbarian builds as they enhance damage reduction, increase Fury generation and movement speed, and offer protection against stuns. Players can opt for Charge instead of Rallying Cry if they want a Stun ability whenever they need it, without losing an Unstoppable source.

To address the vulnerability of Double Swing and Death Blow against large groups of enemies, Iron Maelstrom is a useful skill to thin out elite packs before using other abilities to finish them off.

Passive Skills

This boost complements the added damage from Berserking, and each use of Iron Maelstrom triggers the individual buffs.

Gear and Aspects

The 100,000 Steps boots are a great addition to any Stun-based build, including this one. While Double Swing is the main DPS tool, Death Blow is utilized for its high burst damage and Lucky Hit Chance. By slotting Aspect of Encroaching Wrath into a two-handed weapon, the damage of Death Blow can be buffed by up to 200%. Additionally, Weapon Master's Aspect adds a chance to stun and an extra charge to the skill.

Players can take advantage of the Aspect of Anemia to stun Bleeding targets when dealing direct damage. This is particularly useful in this build due to the high Lucky Hit chances, which means the stun effect can occur frequently. The significance of this lies in the fact that Enhanced Double Swing refunds its base Fury cost only when it hits a stunned target. It is worth noting that there is room for incorporating other Aspects that complement the Berserking or Walking Arsenal passive abilities.

Assigning Dual Swords to the Double Swing skill can provide a significant boost in attack speed when taking down enemies that are under Crowd Control. For higher chances of triggering Walking Arsenal, be sure to equip Two-Handed Bludgeoning and Slashing weapons to Lunging Strike and Death Blow respectively.

Paragon Boards

For those looking to maximize their Double Swing ability, starting with the Flawless Technique Paragon Board is a wise choice. This board enhances the player's chance of landing critical hits on enemies when using one-handed weapons. Boost this build further with Wild Force, Slayer, and Heavy Blows for increased one-handed weapon damage, armor, and Critical Strike Damage, respectively.

The Carnage Paragon Board is a valuable choice for a secondary board due to its advantageous impact on Berserking. As players progress through the board and unlock a sufficient number of nodes, they will experience heightened attack power and speed.

To optimize Glyph usage, consider applying Exploit to the starting board and Ambidextrous to Flawless Technique. By doing so, players can amplify the damage dealt by their one-handed weapons while simultaneously rendering their opponents Vulnerable for a brief period in the midst of battle.
