Cyberpunk 2077 returns with the highly anticipated Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty Expansion pack, providing new and returning fans with improved gameplay and exciting additions.
Phantom Liberty introduces a renewed emphasis on vehicular combat, guaranteeing more thrilling chase sequences within missions. Aside from the ability to shoot at car windows, the game now features new weaponized vehicles equipped with machine guns and missile launchers. Players can utilize these vehicles to eliminate enemies during chase sequences. This guide will demonstrate the proper usage of weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077.
Unlock a Weaponized Vehicle
To call a weaponized vehicle, players must acquire one and then access V's phone. The Quartz "Specter" can be purchased from an Autofixer terminal or V's apartment. Another option is to find the unique Quadra Type-66 Hoon in the Watson area after completing the Heist. To obtain this vehicle, players must search the warehouse area in the northern part of Watson and complete the "I'm In Love With My Car" side quest, which rewards them with a Ken Block-inspired machine. Both of these vehicles are part of the 2.0 Update, meaning players who do not own Phantom Liberty can still obtain them.
As players progress through the main Phantom Liberty missions, they will unlock the ability to purchase additional weaponized vehicles. When making these purchases, it is important to pay attention to the symbols displayed. An ammo symbol indicates that the car is equipped with a machine gun, while missile symbols indicate that it is equipped with missile launchers.

Weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 function just like regular cars. To activate the vehicle's weapons, simply press the Triangle/Y button. If multiple weapons are equipped, pressing the button again will cycle through them. By default, the car will automatically lock on to enemies, but this can be adjusted in the settings. To manually aim, press L1/LB, and to fire the currently equipped weapon, press R1/RB.
Despite having infinite ammo, weaponized vehicles still require reloading. When the vehicle is reloading, the symbol for the weapon will appear in the center of the HUD. To unequip the vehicle's weapons, press the Circle/B button. Get ready to enjoy exhilarating encounters with new vehicles and navigate through Night City while evading the redesigned police force.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
