How to Tame Wild Animals in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos
While it is possible to purchase certain animals from the animal stores located in towns that are accessible through fast travel in the game Winds of Anthos, the majority of animals can only be encountered in their natural habitats. To gain the trust of these animals and tame them, players must consistently interact with them and fill up their musical notes. By visiting them daily, petting them, and providing them with food, players can expect to tame the animals within approximately a week of in-game time.
Exercise caution when approaching wild animals. If the avatar moves too quickly, it may startle the animal, indicated by a red exclamation mark above its head. To prevent the animal from fleeing, the player must sneak towards it. Once in close proximity, players can interact with the animal by giving it attention. To offer the animal food, simply select animal food from the seed bag, press and hold it, and then interact with the animal.
Each critter yields a daily quota of two to three musical notes, depending on its type. Repeat the process the following day until the critter is successfully tamed. Additionally, by capturing all the different types of animals in the game, players will be rewarded with the prestigious Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos achievement or trophy. This makes all the effort truly worthwhile.
