In Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, players have the freedom to roam across a vast map. Once the tutorial is completed, players are unrestricted in their exploration, allowing them to visit various villages scattered beyond the Lenctenbury wall. However, it is important to note that players are initially unable to fully explore every nook and cranny of the map.
Initially, players are limited by their stamina and lack of fast travel option. At most, players can only make it as far as Providence. As players venture further, they will come across areas that are inaccessible due to broken bridges obstructing their path. Thankfully, these bridges can be repaired, granting players the opportunity to explore these previously restricted regions.
How to Repair Bridges in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos
Unlike other tasks in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, repairing bridges does not depend on story progression. The only requirement for players is to have met the Harvest Goddess.
Once players come across a broken bridge, they should approach and interact with it. They will then receive a task to repair the specific bridge. The materials required for each bridge will differ.
How to Get the Materials to Repair Bridges
For instance, a bridge may initially call for five Board Lumber, four Square Lumber, and eight Material Stone. However, as players venture further, they may come across more demanding tasks that involve fixing a bridge with 30 Material Stone, eight Square Lumber, and 16 Bronze. The need for materials increases as players explore deeper into Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos. Eventually, players will encounter bridges that require the use of High Quality Board Lumber for repairs. This special type of lumber can be obtained by completing various tasks and fulfilling requests from different NPCs scattered throughout Anthos.
To effectively repair bridges, it is crucial for players to collect a sufficient amount of materials beforehand. These valuable materials can be obtained by demolishing rocks and exploring mines. Therefore, players should prioritize accumulating an ample supply of food to replenish their Stamina. The required materials typically include the following:
Board and Square Lumber can be crafted by gathering Lumber, with three pieces of Lumber required for each item.
To craft Material Stone, players can bring Stone to Doc Jr, who can craft them for a small fee. Only one Stone and a small amount of money are needed to create Material Stone.
Bronze can be obtained by crafting Bronze Ore, which can be found abundantly in the Lenctenbury Mine.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is currently accessible on various platforms including PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
