Bethesda has rolled out a major update for Fallout 76 with the launch of Season 14: Fight for Freedom. The game's Update 1.0.85 became available on all platforms on August 22, bringing new content, bug fixes, and balance adjustments.

Initially met with lukewarm response upon its release in October 2018, Fallout 76 disappointed many Bethesda fans who were hoping for the studio's signature single-player games instead of an MMO. However, continuous updates and the addition of fresh content over the years have significantly improved Fallout 76's reputation, evident in its current "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam. With the arrival of Season 14: Fight for Freedom, players can now earn patriotic rewards by accumulating SCORE during their post-apocalyptic adventures in Appalachia. This new season coincides with the release of Patch 1.0.85 for Fallout 76.

Fallout 76's latest update brings a host of exciting changes. On Xbox, players can expect an 11.4 GB download, while PlayStation users will need to allocate 10.9 GB of storage. PC players who utilize the Microsoft Store will have an update size of 11.5 GB, and those accessing the game through Steam can look forward to a 2.6 GB patch.

In terms of new content, this update introduces two Perks: Arms Keeper and Stable Tools. These Perks are designed to lighten the load of Rifles and enhance the durability of Automatic Melee Weapons. Alongside these Perks, the Season 14 content includes a fresh character, the New Presidential Power Armor Skin, and a range of exciting New CAMP Objects.

Moreover, the update brings changes to the game's interface, as well as various events and locations.

The elderly Japanese woman is searching for her grandchildren, although her memory is not as sharp as it once was. Despite this, she is delighted to prepare traditional recipes at the player's CAMP. Additionally, the Autominer Collectron is a new CAMP object that automatically mines Ore. For those looking to add a touch of authority to their CAMP, the Oval Office Rug and Wallpaper are now available.

In version 1.0.85, balance changes have been made. The difficulty of enemy encounters in Summersville and Morgantown Airport has been reduced, and additional Health and ammo can be found in those areas. Attacks on player-owned CAMPs have also been minimized, and adjustments have been made to the Health, resistance, and weapon damage of common enemies in Fallout 76. Legendary Creatures no longer possess Health Regeneration Mutation but now have 60% more Health.
