Massive 254-Player Lobbies Set to Revolutionize FPS Gaming for Battlefield Fans

Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush with a new indie FPS game that will blow your mind With 254-player lobbies, fully destructible environments, and an array of exciting features, this Battlefield-like game is a must-play for multiplayer FPS fans

BattleBit Remastered, a game inspired by Battlefield and developed by a small team of independent developers, is now available on Steam. This massive-scale game boasts fully destructible environments and allows for up to 254 players in a single lobby, surpassing the player count of Battlefield 2042's initially advertised 128-player lobbies. Despite the challenges faced by DICE in making the gameplay work on such a large scale, BattleBit Remastered has the potential to succeed where the AAA game fell short.

The long-awaited BattleBit Remastered has finally launched on Steam Early Access today, June 15, after seven years in development by independent developers SgtOkiDoki, Vilaskis, and TheLiquidHorse. This low-poly FPS has been compared to a combination of Battlefield, Call of Duty, and LEGO, but sets itself apart from modern AAA shooters with its massive 254-player servers and fully destructible environments - a feature that many Battlefield fans missed in the recent Battlefield 2042.

On top of its impressive scale and destructibility, BattleBit Remastered includes all the features one would expect from a modern multiplayer FPS, such as a range of classes, vehicles, weapons, and maps. With 13 vehicles including tanks, transports, helicopters, and sea vehicles as well as six classes each with its own unique gadgets and customization options, players are sure to find a playstyle that suits them. The game also offers an impressive 78 different attachments to modify weapons. The developers have even promised to continue expanding the game with post-release content.

The importance of teamwork is emphasized in BattleBit Remastered, a chaotic first-person shooter available on Steam. The game's proximity-based chat feature allows players to coordinate on the fly, but also carries the risk of being caught by the enemy team. BattleBit Remastered also incorporates a squad-based progression system that rewards players for working together. In fact, the developers have stated that teamwork is not only encouraged but a fundamental aspect of the game. While the actual effectiveness of these features remains to be seen, the developers have promised high performance and player ratings on Steam have been very positive. At only $14.99, fans of Battlefield may want to give it a try.
