Marvel's animated speculative fiction show, What If...?, is set to release its second season just in time for the holidays. What If...? is an animated series by Marvel that delves into potential scenarios that could have occurred within its canon, but ultimately did not. The recently released trailer offers glimpses of some exciting scenarios to expect in season 2, including battles between the cast of Shang-Chi and Asgard's Odin, Iron Man engaging in street races on Sakaar, and a captivating historic narrative inspired by Neil Gaiman's 1602 series, situated in a Renaissance-era setting.

Additionally, the upcoming second season of What If...? will introduce Kahhori, a Mohawk woman who encounters the Tesseract during pre-colonial times. This new season will also feature storylines involving beloved Marvel characters like Nebula, Hela, and Happy Hogan. Notably, there will be a holiday-themed episode set in Stark Towers that pays homage to Die Hard, with Happy Hogan taking on a leading role.

Although the Christmas episode stands out as the only explicitly festive installment, Marvel has shared a joyful poster for the new season of What If...?, labelling the episodes as their gift to fans. After the conclusion of Loki's second season, What If...? will serve as Marvel's grand finale for the year.

What If...? Season 2 will premiere on Disney Plus on December 22, with a new episode airing each day until December 30.
