Anticipating the intervention of the Avengers, Gravik devises a revolutionary machine capable of empowering the Skrulls with unique abilities. This sets the stage for a climactic clash between a reformed Nick Fury and Gravik's powerful Super Skrull in Secret Invasion, although the unfolding events may not align with the expectations of many.
