Mark Wahlberg recently shared a new video of himself, reminding fans of his old persona "Marky Mark" and showing off his toned abs. This comes as his first public post since news broke of a $10 million lawsuit filed against him by his former friend, soccer legend David Beckham.

In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, April 24, the 52-year-old Boogie Nights actor showcased his physique while starting his workout outdoors early in the morning. He filmed himself standing next to a cold water tub.

"You know what time it is," he remarked as he glanced at his watch before dipping his hand into the water.

“Woo!” he screeched feeling the temperature. “Let’s go!”

Wahlberg also promoted his sports gear brand Municipal in the caption, writing, “4 am club @municipal let’s go.”

The star was well-known for flaunting his abs in the 90s when he first entered the music scene as a rapper using the stage name Marky Mark. However, when he transitioned to Hollywood, he left behind that image to be recognized as a serious actor.

The recent social media post comes after his silence regarding Beckham's lawsuit against his company F45. The lawsuit was initially filed in 2022 and has since been transferred to a federal court, where a judge has ordered a jury trial.

Beckham, who is 48 years old, says in court papers obtained by TMZ that F45 tricked him into signing a deal to endorse their brand.

He explains that he had first agreed to be the global ambassador for F45 in August 2021 when he relocated to Los Angeles. During his time in LA, Beckham became close friends with Wahlberg. (Both stars do not currently live in California, with Beckham in Miami managing his soccer team and Wahlberg residing in Las Vegas.)

Beckham claims he did not receive the $10 million offered to him in a contract negotiation. He says he was supposed to receive stocks as part of the deal, but they were never given to him when the share prices dropped.

On the other hand, Wahlberg's legal team has refuted these allegations, stating that the accusations of "fraudulent conduct" are unfounded. According to The Sun, they have filed a motion to dismiss the claims.

F45 is described as a "global fitness and lifestyle community" on their website. They provide functional training, HIIT workouts, and nutritional advice. Fitness has always been important to Wahlberg.

The action star shared with We in April 2018, "I enjoy starting my day with a 4 a.m. workout. I don't feel good until I hit the gym. Your health is essential, and feeling good about yourself is crucial for happiness."
