Manchester United's forward, Marcus Rashford, has put pen to paper on a fresh five-year contract, putting to rest all the uncertainties surrounding his future. The talented English player, who turned down more lucrative offers both domestically and internationally, has committed himself to Manchester United until the summer of 2028. Rashford's previous contract was set to expire at the culmination of the forthcoming 2023/24 season.
Rashford experienced a revival under the leadership of manager Erik ten Hag in the previous season following a challenging period of 18 months. As a result, he emerged as Manchester United's leading goal-scorer with 30 goals across various competitions. Remarkably, this accomplishment made him the first player since Robin van Persie in the 2012/13 season to surpass the 30-goal milestone for the club.
Rashford's goals in the previous season played a vital role in United's achievement of securing a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League. This success has further convinced him that the club is heading in the right direction under Ten Hag.
"After joining Manchester United at the age of seven with a dream, I still carry the same passion, pride, and determination to succeed every time I wear the club's shirt," stated Rashford upon signing his new contract.
I have already had remarkable experiences at this remarkable club, but there is still much more to accomplish and I am unwaveringly committed to winning more trophies in the coming years.
Being a lifelong fan of United, I understand the weight of responsibility that comes with representing this badge and feel the joys and sorrows just as deeply as anyone else. I can guarantee that I will put forth my utmost effort to assist the team in reaching our full potential, and I can sense the same determination within the dressing room. I cannot contain my excitement for the future under this manager.

"Marcus has been a part of our Academy for 18 years, and throughout his time here, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities necessary for success as a Manchester United player. Not only is he a tremendously skilled player, but he also possesses humility, dedication, and ambition.
As he enters the prime of his career, we are fully aware that Marcus has even more potential to unlock, and we can clearly see his determination to reach the highest levels of success with Manchester United. Collaborating with Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff provides the ideal environment for Marcus to further evolve and establish himself as one of the finest attacking players in the world."
