Manchester United are set to make a formal approach to Brighton regarding midfielder Moises Caicedo following their initial contact this week. The club has been actively searching for a new midfielder this summer and has a £55m bid for Chelsea's Mason Mount still under consideration. However, they are now eager to explore the potential of acquiring Caicedo for Old Trafford.
They were also interested in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, but the 28-year-old has recently agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Italian team.
Caicedo had an impressive performance during his debut season at the Amex Stadium, earning him a rejected £70m bid from Arsenal in January. On the same day, he submitted a transfer request, which he later withdrew.
