Anime enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the news of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad season 2 since the conclusion of the first season. However, given that the first season premiered years ago, fans are uncertain about the possibility of the anime being renewed. Therefore, we will now explore the potential for the anime's renewal.
Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, written by Shinobu Ohtaka and illustrated by Yoshifumi Ohtera, is a Japanese manga series that serves as a spin-off and prequel to Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. Serialized on Shogakukan platforms, the manga's chapters have been compiled into 19 volumes.

The likelihood of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad season 2 being animated is very low. The first season was released in the Spring of 2016 anime season. With no updates from the anime's staff or the animation studio Lay-duce in the past eight years, it seems that the anime may have been cancelled after its initial season.
If the storyline of the Magi series is examined, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is technically its sequel series. However, Magi: Adventure of Sinbad manga contains more content than the animation studio could have adapted as part of its two or more plausible additional seasons. Nevertheless, the studio stopped after the first anime premiered.

The Magi: Adventure of Sinbad manga consists of a total of 19 volumes, although the first season of the anime only covered the story up to volume 7, chapter 54. This left approximately 12 volumes of source material available for a potential second season. Unfortunately, with no updates from the studio, it is likely that the anime has been canceled.
There are a few possible reasons for the lack of a second season. One reason could be that the manga had already concluded, reducing the need for additional investment by Shogakukan to boost sales.

This principle also extends to the anime series, as the Magi franchise found great success abroad. However, animanga studios typically do not take into consideration the international popularity when deciding to produce an anime, instead focusing on the series' performance in Japan.
Neither A-1 Pictures (the animation studio of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) nor Lay-duce had sufficient incentive to produce additional seasons of the franchise due to the lack of profits from Magi: The Kingdom of Magic.

Fans of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad may be disappointed to learn that despite the popularity of season 1, the series did not perform well in sales. As a result, the animation studio may not produce a season 2. To continue the story, fans are encouraged to read the manga from chapter 55 or start from the beginning to avoid missing any details.
Editor's P/S
As a hard fan of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, I am deeply disappointed that the chances of getting a second season seem incredibly slim. The first season left us with so many unanswered questions and unexplored storylines, and it's frustrating to think that we may never get the closure we deserve. The rich world-building, captivating characters, and thrilling adventures made Magi: Adventure of Sinbad a truly special anime, and it's a shame that its potential hasn't been fully realized.
Despite the disheartening news, I still hold out a glimmer of hope that one day, we might be surprised with an announcement of season 2. The Magi series has a dedicated and passionate fan base, and perhaps if we continue to show our support and enthusiasm, we can convince the creators to reconsider their decision. Until then, I'll keep rereading the manga and cherishing the memories of the amazing first season, while keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle.
