Madelyn Cline prefers a natural look but still likes to wear makeup. The 26-year-old actress shared her skincare and makeup tips for filming Outer Banks and attending red carpet events. She told Vanity Fair in an interview published on Monday, January 8, that the goal on Outer Banks is to look like they don't have makeup on, but she insists on wearing makeup to achieve a natural look.
While shooting the Netflix series about a group of teens on a treasure hunt, Cline ensures her skin is always prepared for whatever challenges come her way, whether it's dirt, sweat, or swamp water. As Revlon's new brand ambassador, she relies on sunscreen and their Illuminance skin serum, finding ways to incorporate Revlon products into the makeup trailer to save time on early call times.
When she’s not acting as Sarah Cameron on Outer Banks, Cline regularly gets glammed up while gracing the red carpet.

Walking the red carpet is like portraying a character: confident, sexy, and relaxed," Cline explained. However, she admitted feeling "panicked, anxious, and uncomfortable" inside. To boost her confidence, the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actress relies on makeup.
"Makeup is like a form of armor, which is why I adore it," she enthused. "It's like, 'Who will she be today? What is she up to? What is her style? All of that contributes to this red carpet persona.'"

Cline's daily skincare and makeup routine is uncomplicated. She relies on the HigherDOSE Red Light Face Mask to "calm [her] skin down" and uses Revlon's Illuminance foundation because "it’s really, really moisturizing and nourishing."
“My mom always put a really big emphasis on skin care,” Cline gushed. “She said that a good skin care routine is a good makeup routine because it’s your base.”
