Lori Harvey recently exemplified the concept of "less is more" with her Halloween costume.
On October 31st, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to flaunt her Tomb Raider-inspired attire. Emulating the iconic Lara Croft, the model donned a black tank top paired with matching black shorts. Complementing the ensemble, she added a sizable black belt featuring a silver buckle, black leather wristbands, a black holster belt, and two faux guns.
Harvey perfectly emulated Lara Croft's appearance, donning a high braided ponytail and enhancing her look with stunning winged eyeliner, lengthy lashes, and a sparkling highlighter. Additionally, she flawlessly imitated Croft's iconic poses, aiming her weapons at the camera in the snapshots. However, not all fans were enthralled by Harvey's impeccable costume.
One fan commented, "D for effort, girl," while another social media user joked, "How did we go from Beyoncé last year to this?"
Responding promptly, Harvey explained her rationale for the appearance. "Girl, I was just tired this year," she replied, accompanied by several laughing face emojis. The understanding fan agreed, remarking, "It can be exhausting at times."
However, not everyone found the costume to be dull. One commenter expressed excitement, stating, "This is my dream costume/character!" Another commenter playfully said, "Alright muscle mommy!"
In a previous year, Harvey honored Beyoncé by recreating three of her iconic looks. Two of these looks were inspired by the music video for "Me, Myself and I". Keeping it minimalistic, Harvey effortlessly replicated a scene from the video where Beyoncé crawls on the floor donning a form-fitting black off-the-shoulder dress, sleek straight hair with bangs.
The second costume showcased a green and white dress with a neckline that plunges, accompanied by oversized earrings, a blonde wig, and a white fur shawl. Harvey flaunted this intricate ensemble in a collection of photos and videos, juxtaposed with a clip of Beyoncé donning the same outfit.
As for the third look, it drew inspiration from Beyoncé's music video for "Check On It." Harvey adorned herself with a matching all-pink blazer and shorts set, along with a long sleeve crop top and miniskirt in pink. She meticulously replicated every aspect of the singer's appearance, from her sunglasses and long braided hair to her oversized hoops.
