In the previous manga chapter, Orange Piccolo kept Cell Max at bay until Gohan could gather enough Chi to defeat him. When it appeared that Piccolo was defeated by Cell Max, Gohan transformed into his Beast mode and took control of the fight, ultimately unleashing a powerful attack with his Special Beam Cannon.

With that, the editor also promoted the 22nd volume of the manga, i.e., set to be released on December 4, 2023, in Japan.

What to expect from chapter 100?

The approaching chapter 100 is set to conclude the Super Hero Arc. However, there is a strong possibility that the manga will deviate from the ending seen in the movie. In the movie, Gohan's attack on Cell Max resulted in a powerful blast. Following this, Bulma enlisted Dr. Hedo and Gamma 1 into the Capsule Corporation.

Since the events are too brief for a whole chapter, it is likely that the next chapter will tease the next storyline. Before the Super Hero Arc, the manga had been publishing chapters from the Granolah the Survivor Saga.
