The 1997 anime Berserk is finally coming to Blu-ray with the stunning remaster it deserves. Get ready to see it in a whole new light as the beloved series makes its debut on Blu-ray. With the recent passing of Berserk's author, Kentaro Miura, fans are eagerly anticipating any new content, including this highly-anticipated remaster.
Berserk fans can relate to the difficulties of finding a quality anime adaptation following the failed attempt at a 3D animation style in 2016, which was the only adaptation to explore content beyond the Golden Age. Despite this, there is optimism that the re-release of the Golden Age films with additional scenes will reignite interest and lead to a new and improved Berserk anime.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan of the Berserk manga and anime, I am thrilled about the upcoming Blu-Ray release of the 1997 anime series. The original anime is a classic, and I can't wait to see it remastered in HD with updated subtitles and bonus content. I'm also glad that Discotek Media is including both the English and Japanese dubs, as I enjoy both versions of the anime.
However, I am disappointed that some of the manga's more controversial content has been censored or removed. I understand that this is likely due to the fact that the Blu-Ray release is being targeted at a wider audience, but I still think it's a shame that some of the original content has been altered. Overall, I'm excited about the upcoming Berserk 1997 anime Blu-Ray remaster and I think it will be a great way for fans to experience the classic series in a new way.
