Release Date for Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray

Is there a Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray release date?

Godzilla Minus One currently doesn’t have a Blu-ray release date, but it’s expected to come out in late 2024.

The authorities are not likely to rush to release it on Blu-ray, even if it means missing the holiday season. It is set to surpass Shin Godzilla as Japan's top film and is also the highest-grossing Japanese movie in US history, with numerous box office records. The physical media release is not yet listed on Amazon or other retailers, so it might be some time before we can watch it at home again (unless you needed a reason to see it in IMAX).

One Reddit user also suggested that the movie may not be available on streaming or DVD/Blu-Ray until nearly Christmas of next year. Toho typically waits a few months after the Blu-Ray release in Japan before releasing it in America, likely to discourage Japanese customers from importing American copies due to the cost difference. This means that it may take as long as six months for the Blu-ray release to happen in Japan, indicating that the second half of 2024 may be the most likely timeframe for when it becomes available for purchase.
