Is Sylvie A Villain In Loki Season 2?

This character had embarked on an enduring vendetta spanning decades, or perhaps even centuries. The customary trope associated with such tales is that it engulfs one's entire being, leaving no room for thoughts of what lies ahead... However, a moment of opportunity presents itself, prompting the question of where she will venture next. As we keep our focus on this character, a woman who was forced to flee as a child and has been in perpetual motion throughout time, forever evading its clutches, living through apocalyptic events and never finding respite or respite, the prospect of entering a McDonald's from the 1980s becomes oddly enticing... Playing a Little League game and visiting McDonald's, attending a child's birthday party at McDonald's – experiences that someone like Sylvie could never have encountered before, surely captivating her. Concerns arose that McDonald's might mistakenly believe we wished to adopt an ironic or mocking tone... However, our true intention was to convey a sincere narrative, a heartfelt homage to nostalgia as seen through the eyes of a character who discovers the novelty and bliss in it all."

While Loki season 2 trailers have primarily focused on Loki and Mobius' mission to locate Victor Timely, an alternative Kang variant, Sylvie has also been prominently featured, suggesting her crucial role in the second season of the show. Despite her betrayal in the finale of Loki season 1, Hiddleston's character doesn't appear to hold any grudges against her. In fact, it seems like he is attempting to persuade her to join him and Mobius in their new venture. The extent to which Sylvie becomes a villain in Loki season 2 will depend on her actions following her reunion with Loki.

Sylvie, despite making some questionable choices and complicating Loki's journey in season 1, was not portrayed as a traditional villain.
