Lisa Vanderpump remains unfazed by the rumors circulating that Vanderpump Rules may be coming to an end after Bravo paused production on season 12.
In an exclusive interview with We, Vanderpump, 63, shared that every year she anticipates that it could be the show's final season. She made these comments while promoting season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars.
Bravo is not filming season 12 of VPR during the summer months as it had previously done. After dealing with the fallout of Tom Sandoval and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss’ affair during season 11, the network has decided to take a break.
Lisa Vanderpump shared, “We’re taking a little breath here. I’ve got to open another restaurant. I think we’re kind of done talking about Scandoval/Sandoval. So I think everybody needs to have it kind of all breathe a little bit.”
Vanderpump mentioned that she has been involved in other projects such as her restaurants and producing shows like Vanderpump Villa and The Valley. The latter show, which debuted in March, includes former VPR star Kristen Doute. Vanderpump has expressed mixed feelings about Doute returning to television, especially after Bravo severed ties with Doute and other cast members in June 2020 due to past racially insensitive comments.

"She said it's great that we always talk about genuine groups. Jax Taylor and Kristen have been friends with Brittany Cartwright for a long time. So, I get how she fits in. Did she always annoy me? Yes. And would she still do so? Yes. No surprises there.
During the VPR break, Vanderpump is staying busy. She will be a contestant on Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars, airing on Fox on Wednesday, May 22."
"When Gordon Ramsay first approached me to participate, we had a playful yet competitive relationship because our restaurants were located across from each other," she shared. Vanderpump found the opportunity intriguing for various reasons - the emotional dynamics among the contestants, the strategic aspect of the business, the challenges faced, the idea of survival of the fittest, and the exciting locations they would visit. She was also curious about how both Gordon and herself would interact throughout the experience.
Vanderpump hinted at some tension between her and the 57-year-old Ramsay. She mentioned that Ramsay is accustomed to being in control and making all the decisions, so having two leaders in the mix could create some interesting dynamics.
"I had to carve out my own space," she explained. "There were some disagreements, but it was all done with respect."
Part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion will be on Bravo on Tuesday, May 21 at 8 p.m. ET. Additionally, season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars will premiere on Fox on Wednesday, May 22 at 9 p.m. ET.
