Levi Colwill seeks discussions with Mauricio Pochettino regarding his situation at Chelsea prior to entering into negotiations for a new contract. Chelsea has made it clear that the player is not available for transfer this summer following an impressive loan spell at Brighton, and they intend to initiate talks concerning a fresh agreement.
However, the England U21 player desires clarity regarding his role in Pochettino's upcoming season and the level of consistent game time he can anticipate, prior to initiating discussions about new contract terms.

Colwill, contracted until 2025, will gauge his significance to those plans upon his return to pre-season training after his participation in the U21 Euros. It is anticipated that he will feature in Sunday's quarter-final clash against Portugal in Georgia.
Colwill is widely considered one of England's best centre-back prospects and is somewhat of a commodity given he is left-footed.

However, there is also competition from Benoit Badiashile, a £35m acquisition from Monaco in January, for the left centre-back position at Chelsea. Despite Brighton's desire to secure Colwill on a permanent basis this summer, their £30m offer was swiftly turned down by Chelsea, who are steadfast in their stance that he is not available for transfer and remains a crucial part of Pochettino's plans.
