Frankie Valli has gotten married for the fourth time, this time to Jackie Jacobs. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas on June 26th. The iconic song "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," performed by Valli, played in the background as they exchanged vows. It's worth noting that Valli will soon begin a year-long residency at the same hotel.
The lead singer of The Four Seasons, who is 89 years old, and the former executive from CBS, who is 60, began their relationship in 2015. However, they have been acquainted since 2007 and were introduced to each other during a dinner with mutual friends in Los Angeles.
The singer, originally named Francesco Stephen Castelluccio, has been married a total of four times. His first marriage was to Mary Mandel in 1958, and they had two daughters together named Antonia and Francine. Unfortunately, the couple ended their marriage in 1971. Valli also became a stepfather to Mandel's daughter Celia from her previous relationship, who passed away in 1980. Tragically, Francine died due to a drug overdose later that same year.
During various challenging times in my life, one experience that stood out was the heartbreaking loss of a child," the New Jersey native expressed in a 2013 interview with Billboard. "It's an incredibly difficult event that you never fully recover from. It's simply not the natural order of things."
After parting ways with Mandel, the singer went on to marry MaryAnn Hannigan from 1974 to 1982, and Randy Clohessy from 1984 to 2004. Valli and Clohessy are parents to a son named Francesco as well as twins named Emilio and Brando.
Valli's career took off in the 1950s and has remained influential over the years, partly due to the success of Jersey Boys. This musical, which debuted in 2005, chronicles the story of the Four Seasons from the perspective of each band member, including Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, and Bob Gaudio. The Tony-winning production was transformed into a film in 2014, directed by Clint Eastwood. However, Valli admitted on the "Talking Sopranos" podcast in 2021 that he personally did not enjoy the movie. He expressed that he had disagreements with Clint and believed that the casting was incorrect.
John Lloyd Young, who played Valli in the original Broadway musical, reprised his role for the film adaptation. Valli claimed that Eastwood had made promises to him and the other members of the Four Seasons but failed to deliver.
"What they did with the music was terrible. ... I would have preferred a movie that had a vibe similar to Mean Streets or Goodfellas," the "Grease" singer suggested, implying that Martin Scorsese would have been a more fitting choice for the director.
Valli shared that he was currently involved in another project related to the Four Seasons. He hinted at the possibility of a series that would present his perspective on the band's journey, focusing on the challenges they faced growing up. He mentioned that some members may have strayed or faced difficulties had they not achieved success.
