High Grade Cervical Dysplasia
LeAnn Rimes revealed that she has been experiencing abnormal pap smears since the age of 17. After her last abnormal pap smear and colposcopy, she discovered that she had high grade cervical dysplasia, a precancerous condition where abnormal cells grow on the surface of the cervix.
Consulting with her doctor, Rimes opted for a LEEP procedure to remove the high grade, abnormal, pre-cancerous cells. She emphasized the importance of advocating for mental wellness and comfort, sharing her decision to be under anesthesia for the procedure.
