Ashley Johnson, known for her roles in The Last of Us and Critical Role, bravely filed a restraining order against her abusive and threatening ex-boyfriend Johnson and her family were subjected to extortion attempts after the couple's separation

The Last of Us and Critical Role actress, Ashley Johnson, has recently taken legal action against her former partner by filing a restraining order. This decision came after a series of abusive behavior, threats, and extortion attempts aimed at Johnson and her family once the couple had separated.

Johnson and her former partner, Brian Foster, were in a committed relationship that began in 2012. They lived together for a period of time and even became engaged in 2018, sharing the news via social media platforms including Instagram and Critical Role live streams.

However, it appears that their relationship was far from perfect. Despite what fans may have believed, Johnson revealed that there were numerous incidents of terror and verbal abuse. After trying to end things with Foster for over two years, Johnson finally broke things off in March. Unfortunately, Foster's behavior only became more dangerous after the breakup. His frequent drug use exacerbated his already erratic behavior, which eventually led Johnson to flee her home. On May 15, she filed for an emergency restraining order to protect herself.

According to reports, Johnson's ex-boyfriend, Brian Foster, has been accused of exhibiting dangerous behavior towards her and her family. Johnson claims that Foster has the potential to commit murder and has caused her and her loved ones to fear for their safety by locking her out of all her devices and cameras. Adding to the distress, Foster allegedly demanded $150,000 from Johnson after their breakup. As a result, Johnson has filed a restraining order against him, which also includes her mother, sister, and two nephews. The hearing for the order is scheduled for June 9.

While Johnson is best known for her portrayal of Ellie in The Last of Us and its TV adaptation, she has also made appearances in Blindspot and Teen Titans as Patterson and Terra, respectively. Additionally, she is a prominent member of the Dungeons and Dragons actual play group Critical Role and serves as the president of the Critical Role Foundation.

Foster, who previously hosted several Critical Role talk shows, participated in one-shots, and ran the Undeadwood miniseries, has left the show in 2021 to pursue his career as a writer, musician, and streamer. While Critical Role has yet to issue an official statement on the situation, the community has rallied around the actress, showing support for her and her family during this difficult time. The hope is that the restraining order will soon be fully approved, allowing Johnson and her loved ones to live in peace.
