Viewers of Vanderpump Rules found out more about the sperm donor that Lala Kent selected for her second pregnancy.
In the latest episode that aired on Tuesday, April 16, Lala, who is 33 years old, hosted a party where guests assisted in choosing the anonymous donor whose sperm she would be using to grow her family.
This is a significant moment in my life as we are choosing my future child, who will be a part of my life forever. I want to simplify the scientific aspect of it," Lala shared. "I am looking for ways to see this baby and know that they were brought into this world with so much love. Love comes in many forms but it is always love.
Lala discussed her choice to start a family on her own. "This is not how I imagined my life, but I am grateful that this option exists. If there is one thing I believe I excel at in life, it is being a good mother," she said. "So, while this process is exciting, we are indeed choosing my child's father."
At the party, Lala introduced three potential candidates to her friends and family. The first donor caught her attention right away, as she believed he had all the qualities she was looking for based on his paperwork.
"He is tall, standing at 6'2 with a lean and athletic build. He is kind, polite, and friendly, with a gentle demeanor," Lala explained.
Scheana Shay, on the other hand, found his other qualities more impressive. According to her, his top song is ‘Grown Ocean’ and his favorite animal is a lion. "That's all I need to know," Scheana, 38, commented in a confessional. "Let's wrap it up and move on to Lala's situation because this is about her potential sperm donor."

Lala Kent shared a photo on Instagram. The second option was a man with a Masters degree in Art History, as pointed out by James Kennedy's girlfriend, Ally Lewber. Lisa Vanderpump was more interested in the second man because his favorite animal is a dog.
Ariana Madix wasn't as thrilled about the second donor option, mentioning, "He isn't really sparking my interest. A tip for all potential sperm donors: when completing your profile, be detailed and sincere in your responses because are you truly committed to this?"
Moving on to donor No. 3, Lala talked about his accounting and finance background. She shared that the third donor's greatest passion is cooking, which brought joy to Lala's mother.
"We're not shopping for the man, just his sperm," Lala gently reminded her friends. Ultimately, the group decided on the first donor, and Lala found herself feeling emotional.
"It's happening. I've found my baby daddy," she shared with the cameras. "Choosing this path to start a family is fulfilling my deepest desires. I'm thrilled about everything that's unfolding."
Lala expressed her desire for a Virgo baby, sharing her plan for November or December insemination and aiming for an August or September due date. She excitedly mentioned how she would be "bumping around" next summer.
Prior to revealing her second pregnancy, Lala openly discussed her intention to have another child on her own. She candidly talked about the challenges stemming from her highly publicized breakup with Randall, including ongoing custody discussions concerning Ocean.
Lala mentioned during a "Scheananigans" podcast episode in November 2022 that she is not interested in trying a different approach or involving another person when considering a sperm donor. She expressed concerns about the high chance of it not working out, especially where they live, and stated that she is not willing to take that risk due to past experiences that have left her feeling scarred.
Earlier this year, Lala confirmed that she was undergoing the process of intrauterine insemination (IUI). In March, she announced her pregnancy, and just a month later, she revealed that she is expecting another girl.
Lala has always been firm in her decision-making process when selecting her donor. She mentioned on her podcast, "Give Them Lala", that appearance was not a top priority for her. She believes genetics can be unpredictable, even among siblings. However, she did inquire about the donor's physical appearance.
The reality star aimed to minimize any uncertainties by being thorough in her selection process.
I wanted the baby to look like me, my mom, and Ocean. I don't want them to feel different because they don't have a dad, just that they were conceived with the help of a donor. I want to make things easier for them, as the world can be tough even in a normal family.
