Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Bryant's love story began with a charming encounter that eventually led to their happily ever after.
The first time Chenoweth laid eyes on Bryant was at her niece's wedding in 2016. Bryant, who was part of the band Backroad Anthem, was performing at the event. Although they caught each other's attention, their connection remained platonic as they both were involved with other individuals at the time.
However, Chenoweth developed a friendship with the musician and decided to establish an online connection with him. Serendipity intervened two years later when Chenoweth's nephew chose the same band to perform at his wedding.
"We had formed a sort of online friendship. I had gotten to know the entire band because they were my kind of people, my community," Chenoweth revealed in a November 2021 interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show. "As a result, when we finally met at the second wedding, sparks flew."

March 2020
The couple, Chenoweth and Bryant, made a joint decision to quarantine together during the COVID-19 pandemic after being in a relationship for two years. While cohabitating, they engaged in creating TikTok videos together as a means to alleviate boredom and entertain themselves.
October 2021
After three years of being in a relationship, Bryant asked the question that would determine their future together. Chenoweth expressed her excitement and commitment through an Instagram post, addressing Josh with love and humor. She stated, "Guess you're stuck with me now, @joshbguitar. I love you deeply and I promise to hold onto you forever. Without a doubt, my answer is a resounding yes!! ️️."

July 2022
Chenoweth shared during her appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan that she and Bryant were facing challenges in planning their wedding due to their busy careers and the pandemic. Despite considering the idea of eloping, Chenoweth expressed her mother's wishes for a more traditional approach with a small gathering of their loved ones.
April 2023
Almost a year later, Chenoweth disclosed to Entertainment Tonight that she and Bryant's plans were ongoing, albeit with some difficulties arising from the logistics involved, particularly because of her "enormous family."
“When people tell us to just do family, we’re like, ‘It’s gonna be big,'” she said.
July 2023
Chenoweth and Bryant had a delightful evening on Broadway. "Only three weeks remaining to catch the incredible @paradebway! @michaelarden, you're a true genius," she wrote alongside a selfie of the pair proudly displaying their playbills. "Hats off to the phenomenal cast led by @bensplatt & @micaela_diamond, as well as the talented musicians and crew. Bravo!"
