Michelle Young couldn’t resist a good pun when it came time to hard launch her new relationship with Jack Leius.
"Sharing beautiful photos of the two of them looking elegant, the former Bachelorette, aged 30, wrote on Instagram, 'I feel incredibly lucky to be with you,' on Friday, October 27.
In the pictures, Young looked stunning in a black floral dress and matching pumps, accessorized with chain-link earrings and a high ponytail. Meanwhile, Leius chose a black button-down shirt and cream-colored trousers."
Young has been tight-lipped about the specifics of their romantic involvement. However, according to Leius' LinkedIn profile, he resides in Young's hometown of Minnesota and holds the position of a sales consultant at a local insurance brokerage. Prior to this, Leius pursued his business and marketing studies at the University of Minnesota, and later obtained a master's degree in sports management from Minnesota State University.
Earlier this month, Young hinted at their relationship by posting a picture on her Instagram Story. The image captured the pair sharing a kiss outside a Minnesota Vikings football game. While Leius affectionately pecked her cheek, his face remained hidden underneath a Vikings baseball cap.
Young's relationship with Leius is her first venture into dating since her engagement with ex-fiancé Nayte Olukoya ended last year. As the third Black Bachelorette, Young quickly formed a strong bond with Olukoya, 29, during season 18 of The Bachelorette, which aired in October 2021. Olukoya proposed in the season finale in December 2021, but the couple announced their separation after being together for a year.

In a social media statement shared in June 2022, Young expressed her gratitude to the supporters of her and Nayte, acknowledging the challenges of maintaining a relationship in the public eye. Despite the difficulty, Young revealed that she and Nayte will be going their separate ways, but reassured that the emotions they both carry in their hearts reflect the genuine nature of their relationship.
She expressed, "Nayte, you became my closest companion and my love for you is immensely powerful. I will continuously desire your success and forever cherish the adventures, support, and personal growth that both you and this experience have bestowed upon me." Young has now alleged that Olukoya ended their relationship through a phone call, which subsequently affected her future engagements in a negative way.
"It was my dream ring. I desired the relationship to succeed. I was ready to exert effort for the relationship. And then I had the person leave," she stated in a February interview on the "Almost Famous" podcast. "I didn't explicitly say this before because of Instagram and all the external pressures, but I understand the challenges of working through a relationship and the difficulties that can arise. However, both individuals need to have the capability to overcome those challenges."
Regarding Young's allegations about the abrupt end of their love story, Olukoya has remained silent. In July 2022, he dismissed rumors of infidelity and affirmed that they both made an effort to salvage their relationship but ultimately failed.
