Kourtney Kardashian's Jaw-Dropping Name Change Sparks Social Media Frenzy!

Kourtney Kardashian has changed her last name to Barker following her marriage to Travis Barker. However, some fans were puzzled by the timing of her announcement. On June 29, Kardashian, 44, shared a photo on Instagram revealing her updated license with her new name, Kourtney Kardashian Barker.

The place was labeled as "Department of Motor Vehicles." Certain individuals on social media promptly jumped to conclusions that the Poosh founder was playfully teasing her sister Kim Kardashian, whose visit to the DMV was featured in Thursday's episode of The Kardashians.

Kim Kardashian, 42, arrived at the California agency after hours and brought along her glam squad which included hairstylist Chris Appleton and makeup artist Ariel Tejada. She expressed gratitude to the employees for keeping the office open while she dressed casually in black bike shorts and flip-flops.

"Today, we are here with Kim as we prepare her driver's license photo," Appleton, 40, stated to the cameras. "It's quite significant considering that you have to live with it for a considerable period of time. ... Numerous individuals are stuck with driver's licenses that aren't exactly flattering."

As Kim approached the photo area, she playfully expressed her nervousness and asked the employee at the DMV to "wait until I stop smiling." Tejada, 28, held up a light above the camera to enhance the overall glow.

Kim and her team expressed dissatisfaction with the initial picture, requesting a reshoot. "Wow. We look amazing!" the reality star exclaimed as she gave her approval to the second photo. "This one's great."

Following Kourtney's sharing of her own license photo on Thursday, fans swiftly flooded the comments section with their speculations. "I suppose Ariel and Chris didn't accompany Kourtney to the DMV," one user commented, while another accused Kourtney of "imitating" her sister.

A third fan playfully commented, "This post's timing is making me go crazy."

During season 3 of The Kardashians, Kim and Kourtney have been in conflict over their relationships with Dolce & Gabbana. Kourtney and Barker, who are presently anticipating their first child, worked together with the brand prior to their wedding in Italy in May 2022. Subsequently, Kim established her own alliance with the label, leading to strain between the siblings.

Kourtney expressed her dissatisfaction to Khloé Kardashian during Thursday's episode, sharing that she goes to great lengths to have her own identity. However, she feels a lack of loyalty from others, almost as if they are being greedy. Despite having everything they could want or need, Kourtney sometimes questions whether the fashion show photos are actually from her wedding.

Although Kourtney admitted that Kim didn't feel remorseful about the situation, she confessed that she had been avoiding a direct conversation with her sister. Kourtney finds it unbearable to even talk to Kim, stating that the issue is not about a brand, but rather about her wedding where she didn't feel fully supported. She believes that there were no boundaries and no decency in considering her feelings when Kim decided to do something so closely related to her wedding.

In the June 22 episode, Kim confronted Kourtney for talking negatively about her behind her back. Kim expressed her frustration, stating that she shouldn't have to seek permission from Kourtney. She believed she had been considerate and mentioned that she had chosen items from numerous collections. Kim also questioned Kourtney's claim that all her friends supported her, pointing out that Kourtney hardly had any friends. She sarcastically referred to Travis as one of Kourtney's supposed friends.
