Kirsten Dunst and Tom Cruise may not have collaborated in 30 years, but their bond remains strong.

Dunst, who is 41 years old, is among the fortunate celebrities who receive an annual $126 white chocolate coconut bundt cake from Cruise, who is 61 years old. The cake is sent from Doan's Bakery, a gesture that highlights their sweet connection.

The actress mentioned in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, April 9, that she is still getting the cake. She also shared that her husband, Jesse Plemons, also receives the delicious treat. So, they both get to enjoy double the cake!

Cruise also shares the coconut cake with his other famous friends like Tom Hanks, Jon Hamm, and Rosie O’Donnell.

This isn’t the first time Dunst has expressed her love for the dessert. She previously talked about it during an appearance on the Graham Norton Show in 2016.

“He gives me a cake every Christmas,” she explained. “We call it the Cruise cake at my house. It’s the best coconut cake I’ve ever had in my life.”

Dunst and Cruise first collaborated on the movie Interview with the Vampire in 1994. The film was adapted from Anne Rice's novel of the same name, published in 1976. It explores the concept of living as a vampire for centuries and delves into the experiences that come with such a prolonged existence.

At the time of the project, Kirsten Dunst was just 11 years old. She has mentioned that Tom Cruise played a significant role in helping her secure the part of Claudia in the movie.

"I had to audition multiple times for this role. It was a big deal for me, a real breakthrough," Dunst shared in a 2021 interview with People. "After that, I had another screen test with Tom Cruise. I remember being the tallest among all the young girls. Tom had to lift each of us up and carry us around to see how we looked next to him and who appeared the most childlike."

Dunst recalls feeling nervous about her height for the role, but everything changed when Cruise gave her a helpful tip. "I remember Tom whispering to me, 'Tuck your legs under' so I’d look as tiny as possible because I was the tallest girl. I knew he was rooting for me. We were both from New Jersey and I think he wanted to support a fellow Jersey girl."

Dunst not only got the part, but she also earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 1995. She didn't win, losing to Miranda Richardson for her role in Fatherland. Since then, Dunst has been in many projects, including the upcoming movie Civil War, which will be in theaters on Friday, April 12.
