Kim Kardashian and Lauren Sánchez have no budget when it comes to fashion.
In a profile for Vogue's December issue, published online on November 13, Sánchez, the fiancée of Jeff Bezos, shared a story of a costly bidding war between her and her friends for a Balenciaga couture dress. The incident took place during a Kering Foundation auction at New York Fashion Week, where Kardashian proposed a solution of sharing the dress, stating, "You wear it once, I'll wear it once, it'll be adorable."
The Kering Foundation offered to create two dresses for both Kardashian and Sánchez, who both desired the look. Each woman paid $200,000 for the dresses. Kardashian and Sánchez will travel to Paris together for the fitting, as reported by Vogue.
Kardashian has previously spent $200,000 at an auction.
Earlier this year, We confirmed that Kardashian is now the owner of Princess Diana’s iconic Attallah cross.

Kardashian acquired the remarkable pendant through the Royal and Noble sale at Sotheby's auction, held in January. The pendant, valued at approximately $98,668 to $148,002, was reportedly purchased by Kardashian for $200,000, as reported by TMZ, the first to break the news.
The stunning jewel, adorned with a Fleurée cross embellished with square-cut amethysts and circular-cut diamonds, was originally crafted by Garrard, the court jeweler, in the 1920s. Naim Attallah acquired the magnificent piece and lent it to Diana in 1987. The Princess of Wales donned this precious gem for an event in support of Birthright, a charity dedicated to safeguarding human rights during pregnancy and childbirth. Complementing the necklace, she wore a striking Catherine Walker & Co. gown in black and purple. This iconic ensemble remains a topic of conversation even today, showcasing one of Diana's most memorable looks.
According to Sotheby's, the necklace held a special place in Diana's heart, being one of her "favorite" pieces. Sotheby's shared on January 14 via Instagram, "Through Attallah’s friendship with Princess Diana, he loaned it to her several times over a number years. It is understood that the cross was only ever worn by the Princess, and following her tragic passing in a car crash in Paris in 1997, it remained unseen by the public until now." (Diana passed away at the age of 36.)
The pendant is a standout piece in the Royal & Noble sale, available for online bidding until January 18th. The exhibition is open to the public at our galleries on New Bond Street in London until the same date.
