Kid Cudi won't be performing at Coachella anytime soon due to his recent injury. In a post on Instagram, the 40-year-old artist shared that he has a broken calcaneus and will undergo surgery. He mentioned that the recovery process will be long, leading to the cancellation of his tour. Cudi explained that he needs to focus on getting better to ensure he can give his best performance when he returns to the stage.

The rapper revealed that his injury was more severe than he first thought. A broken calcaneus, which is the medical term for the heel bone, can take 3 to 4 months to heal with or without surgery, according to the Orthopedic Trauma Association. Surgery may be necessary if the bone is close to breaking through the skin.

Cudi, also known as Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, had plans to start a world tour in late July for his Insano album, which would have continued into 2025. He announced that ticket holders would receive a full refund. Despite needing time to recover, Cudi is optimistic about rescheduling new tour dates in the near future.

We will announce new tour dates soon. I can't wait to hit the road with you all again and have a great time together. I want to apologize to my fans and express how much I appreciate your love and support. Despite feeling disappointed, I promise to come back. I'm okay, just a bit sore, but staying positive.

Signing off with love, Scott 🫶

Cudi sustained an injury while performing at Coachella as a last-minute addition to the lineup. During his performance on Sunday, April 24, he injured himself when he jumped off the stage.

After the incident, Cudi took to X to share the news with his fans. He mentioned, “Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. Just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

The next day, Cudi posted a photo of himself in an ambulance, talking about his injury. He captioned the slideshow, which showed him smiling and giving a thumbs up while on a gurney, saying, "This was me right after the fall in the ambulance. All smiles like a G.
