Kevin Feige's vision for Hulk's first MCU foe was uniquely divergent. He wanted a more famous actor to play the Abomination, which would have changed the dynamic of the film.
I think this is an interesting insight into Feige's creative process. On the one hand, it shows that he is willing to take risks and go against the grain. On the other hand, it also shows that he is not afraid to change his mind when presented with new information. Ultimately, I think Feige made the right decision in casting Tim Roth as the Abomination. Roth brought a level of menace and gravitas to the role that I don't think a more famous actor could have matched.
