Katy Perry usually likes to keep her daughter Daisy Love Bloom away from the public eye. However, on Mother's Day, May 12, she couldn't help but share her excitement about her 3-year-old on social media.
Perry shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram. The carousel included images of her pregnancy test, her growing baby bump, the moment she told Orlando Bloom about the news, a clip from a pregnancy ultrasound, and a video of her sharing the news with her American Idol co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
In a heartfelt Mother's Day post, Perry expressed her gratitude for her mother's love. She shared that becoming a mother herself made her realize the depth of her mother's love. Perry welcomed her daughter, Daisy Dove, and emphasized the importance of never taking a mother's love for granted. She extended her wishes for a Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and caretakers in any form they may come.
She also provided captions for each of the images and the two clips.
Perry wrote, “1. Showing the positive pregnancy test! 2. Informing Orlando about my pregnancy while he was filming in Prague. 3. Sharing the exciting news with my brothers Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on the set of #idol in Hawaii. 4. Listening to Daisy’s heartbeat for the first time. 5-10: Some pregnancy bump pictures taken before Daisy Dove was born.”

Katy Perry, known for her song "Firework," welcomed her daughter in August 2020. She shared the news through UNICEF, where Perry and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, serve as Goodwill Ambassadors.
The couple, who got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019, expressed their joy on the UNICEF website, saying, "We are filled with love and amazement at the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter."
We feel grateful for the peaceful birthing experience we had, knowing that not everyone is as fortunate. Sadly, many communities worldwide lack enough healthcare workers, resulting in the death of a pregnant woman or newborn every eleven seconds, often due to preventable reasons. As new parents, our hearts ache for those facing such challenges, as we now understand their struggles more deeply than ever.
In November 2023, Perry marked the end of her Las Vegas residency show, "Play", by having her daughter present at the final performance. She even gave her a special mention on stage during the concert, creating a memorable moment for both of them.
“Daisy! I love you so much,” Perry called out to her daughter, who was dressed as Minnie Mouse, per fan footage. “You’re my best friend. I’m so glad you’re here.”
