Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Jae Brown, are not planning on any more unexpected news for their family now that they are expecting their third child.

After finding out about the new addition to their family, Kane shared that he had a vasectomy. The couple already has two daughters, Kingsley, 4, and Kodi, 2.

"I’m scared for three [kids]. I guess it was God’s plan,” said the country singer during an appearance on a radio show. “Kate got me neutered already.”

Kane learned that he was going to be a father of three in a “wild” way. While flying to Michael Jordan’s golf course, Katelyn called to tell him she thought she was pregnant before the phone cut out.

During the entire flight, Kane was filled with curiosity and nervousness, wondering what was happening. He was hoping that the news he received was incorrect. With a smile, he shared, "I was thinking, 'Oh my God, like, what’s going on?' But then, when she landed, it turned out she was pregnant."

Interestingly, this was not the first time Kane had been taken aback during a private plane journey. Before finding out about the pregnancy, he had been headed to the same place when he was informed that his house was on fire.

"That's how my birthday trip began. We landed and everything seemed normal, just really hot," he remembered. "Then, as I was boarding the plane for another round of golf, Kate suddenly says she thinks she's pregnant, and the world just stopped."

While Kane and Katelyn weren’t expecting to add another bundle of joy to their family at the moment, the pair were excited when they learned they were having a boy.

"We had two daughters already, and we weren't actively trying for a third child. My skills in the baby-making game must be on point," he joked. "But guess what? It's a boy!"

Katelyn and Kane were overjoyed when they found out they were expecting a baby boy. However, Katelyn was adamant that Kane should get a vasectomy to avoid any unexpected pregnancies in the future. Kane agreed to his wife's request and went through with the procedure.

During the vasectomy, Kane was given gas to relax. He lay on his back while a nurse and a doctor chatted above him. Kane found the experience to be quite interesting as he listened to their casual conversation while lying on the table.

Kane playfully mentioned that even though he had received the gas, he wasn't completely out of it, but definitely felt like he was "sky high" while lying on the table in a "spread eagle" position.

Kane and Katelyn revealed they were expecting their third child in December 2023. Just a month later, the couple excitedly announced they were having a boy in a charming gender reveal video with their daughters. The family of four joyfully cut into a cake that revealed a blue filling, indicating the gender of their upcoming addition.
