Chapter 100 recap

The previous chapter, Kaiju No. 8 chapter 100, began with Kafka Hibino, still in his transformed state, staring at Reno Ichikawa in astonishment at his unexpected appearance. Hibino then warned Ichikawa of an approaching Mega Monster, but Ichikawa effortlessly froze the kaiju before any harm could be done. Overwhelmed, Kafka expressed tears of joy at Ichikawa's arrival, prompting Ichikawa to acknowledge that he's not the only one who has arrived.
It was later revealed that Ichikawa had been accompanied by several other soldiers from the Defense Force Third Unit, including Iharu Furuhashi, Haruichi Izumo, and Aoi Kaguragi. Over the radio, Kafka heard the arrival of the others and initially argued with Ichikawa about leaving him behind to confront the Mega Monsters. However, Ichikawa interrupted him, stating that he would lead the way and not allow Kafka to shoulder the entire burden alone. Realizing Ichikawa was right, Kafka asked him to take charge while he went to rescue Mina Ashiro. Ichikawa mocked Kafka for finally understanding what he had been trying to tell him all along, as the chapter concluded with the two preparing for their individual battles.
What to expect (speculative)
Ichikawa is expected to take on the Mega Monsters while Kafka pursues Mina in Kaiju No. 8 chapter 101. The chapter will probably start with Ichikawa creating an opportunity for Kafka to escape and then drawing the attention of all the Mega Monsters in the area in order to quickly eliminate them. Before this attack, the chapter is expected to include a flashback showing Ichikawa's training with No. 6 once they became compatible. This flashback is likely to take up the majority of chapter 101 and may extend into subsequent releases.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z netizen, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 101. The previous chapter left us with a thrilling cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see how the battle between Ichikawa and the Mega Monsters unfolds. I'm also curious to learn more about Ichikawa's training and how he became so powerful. The flashback sequence in Chapter 101 should provide some much-needed insight into his character and abilities.
Overall, I'm very excited about the future of Kaiju No. 8. The series has been consistently delivering high-quality action and storytelling, and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next. I highly recommend this manga to any fan of the kaiju genre or action-packed storytelling in general.
