Julia Roberts revealed a surprising detail about her iconic Pretty Woman dress.
At 56, Roberts donned a revealing blue-and-white cutout dress by U.K. brand Hunza G in the film, pairing it with over-the-knee boots and a red jacket tied at the waist. In a British Vogue interview, she revealed that the jacket was meant to conceal her figure, as she had felt self-conscious about her perceived "big butt." Additionally, Roberts admitted that the shoes she wore were "really uncomfortable."
Despite the widespread appeal of the look, Roberts clarified that "going bare" is not her personal style. Upon deeper reflection on her fashion choices over the years, Roberts revealed that her most cherished outfit was the Armani suit she donned at the 47th annual Golden Globes in 1990.
Roberts remembered going to the men's section and having the piece tailored to fit. She never expected it to become a statement outfit, but she felt fabulous and still has the suit. She continues to wear menswear on the red carpet.
