In the recent episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Mahito has emerged as Yuji Itadori's most formidable foe. After witnessing the deaths of Kento Nanami and Nobara Kugisaki, Itadori lost his will to fight, but Aoi Todo's timely arrival in episode 20 reignited his determination. Together, they faced Mahito in a battle that has become the focal point of the Shibuya arc.
The battle between Itadori and Todo against Mahito was filled with awe-inspiring moments. One standout moment was when Todo lost his hand during the fight but refused to yield. His determination allowed Itadori to gain a significant upper hand, quickly overpowering Mahito and inflicting irreparable damage with a series of black flashes.

As the bitter rivals finally ended their long, brutal fight, Itadori stood tall and stared down Mahito, seeking vengeance for his fallen comrades. In a desperate attempt to escape, Mahito tried crawling away from his archrival, only to be confronted by Suguru Geto/Kenjaku, who offered to save him.
Unfortunately for Itadori, it seemed he would not be able to get his revenge on Mahito after all. The next episode will be based on chapter 133 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, in which Geto easily overpowers Itadori with his vast army of Cursed Spirits.
Following this, Geto redirected his focus to Mahito, who attempted to use his Idle Transfiguration on him. Easily evading the attack, Geto employed his Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique to assimilate Mahito. This effectively erased Mahito from existence and allowed Geto to claim his Idle Transfiguration as his own.

As a result, Mahito and Itadori's intense rivalry finally reached its conclusion. Although Itadori was unable to exact full revenge on the Cursed Spirit, Mahito established himself as a formidable antagonist throughout the series, dedicated to making Itadori's life unbearable.
Following their battle, Itadori acknowledged the similarities between himself and Mahito. He vowed to eliminate Mahito, even if he returned as a different curse, altered his identity, or took on a new form.
Itadori's determination to find and kill him was unyielding. This scene in the anime is considered one of the season's top moments, providing a fitting conclusion to their long-standing rivalry.
The conclusion of episode 21 of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 indicates that the Shibuya Incident arc is drawing to a close. With only about two more episodes left, this season will come to an end, marking the conclusion of this intense arc that has been a pivotal moment for the series.

As an enthusiastic fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I am thrilled with the recent developments in the Shibuya arc. The battle between Yuji Itadori and Mahito was nothing short of epic, and the unexpected intervention of Suguru Geto/Kenjaku added an intriguing twist to the storyline. I was particularly impressed with the animation and fight choreography during the battle between Itadori and Mahito. The fluidity of the movements and the impact of the blows were truly captivating.
The emotional weight of the episode was also palpable, as I felt a mix of excitement, anticipation, and sadness. The loss of Kento Nanami and Nobara Kugisaki was devastating, and I could sense Yuji's inner turmoil as he struggled to cope with their deaths. However, the arrival of Aoi Todo and his unwavering support for Yuji gave me hope and renewed my belief in their ability to overcome Mahito.
