Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 finale sets the stage for major death
In the final episode of JJK Season 2, significant events unfolded. Pseudo-Geto consumes Mahito and Yuta Okkotsu returns as the appointed executioner of Yuji Itadori. Despite the fateful decision made when Yuji consumed Sukuna's first cursed finger, Gojo's intervention allowed Yuji to grow as a character, greatly impacting the fans' desire to see him spared from execution. Additionally, the confirmation of Geto's survival leads to his sentencing to death once again. Unsealing Gojo is deemed a criminal act, and Yaga has received the death penalty for inciting the Shibuya Incident. The execution of Yuji is slated to take place soon, with Yuta appointed as his executioner.
The JJK story began with Yuji consuming the cursed king's rotten finger and becoming his vessel. In Season 1, the evil entity took over Yuji's body several times, but Sukuna never fully controlled him. However, the second season showed Sukuna in complete control, causing widespread destruction through Yuji's body. With the main protagonist now a major threat to the world, the JJK society must put everything aside to focus on keeping humanity safe from danger.
Will Yuta kill Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen?
The conclusion of the story saw Gojo, Yaga, and Yuji Itadori targeted by Jujutsu sorcerers. The formidable sorcerer Gojo, known for his selfless aid, now unjustly faces accusations of betrayal within the JJK society. Under orders from the higher-ups, Gojo is condemned to eternal imprisonment in the Prison Realm, with severe consequences for anyone attempting to release him. Yaga has been sentenced to death, while Yuta Okkotsu has been tasked with executing Yuji Itadori.
Yuta had no intention of harming Yuji in any way. He understood Gojo's concern for the safety of his students and took the mission to prevent others from carrying out the execution once Gojo was sealed. In a way, Yuta was deceiving the higher-ups to protect Yuji and fill Gojo's shoes.
