What happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode #6?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode #7 Will Continue Mahito and Mechamaru's Fight
: Contrasting Jujutsu Kaisen's usual high-energy action scenes, episode #6 shifts its focus towards Yuji reuniting with an old acquaintance from his school days. Although this doesn't significantly contribute to the overarching plot of the series, it showcases the delightful dynamics of the main trio, Yuji, Nobara, and Fushiguro, as witnessed in the first season. The latter half of the episode unravels a surprising twist as Mechamaru's secret alliance with Geto and the curses is unveiled. In exchange for repairing his body, Mechamaru betrays them and enters into a fierce battle against Mahito, controlling a colossal mech that epitomizes his formidable Cursed Technique.Continuing from the previous episode, it is highly likely that episode #7 will showcase an ongoing confrontation between Mahito and Mechamaru. Although Mechamaru is vulnerable to even the slightest contact from Mahito, his colossal robot provides him with a slight advantage in terms of protection. Notably, Mechamaru's mechanical creation exhibits formidable offensive capabilities, highlighted by the striking laser it unleashes towards the end of the episode. However, Mahito proves to be a strategic combatant, capable of transforming his body into various forms to effectively evade or withstand Mechamaru's assaults. Furthermore, the menacing primary antagonist of the series, Geto, who prominently appeared in the initial half of the season, closely observes the intense battle, prepared to intervene should Mahito find himself in dire circumstances.
Despite its exciting nature, this fight is not actually a part of the highly anticipated Shibuya Incident in Jujutsu Kaisen. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting that intense arc may be disappointed. However, the battle between Mechamaru and Mahito will contribute to setting up the Shibuya Incident arc. Mechamaru seems to possess information about Geto's future plans, adding intrigue to the storyline. Regardless of how this fight connects to Shibuya, Jujutsu Kaisen fans can still find satisfaction in the epic showdown that marks the beginning of the latter part of Season 2.
Make sure to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode #7 on Crunchyroll, releasing on September 7th.
