The 22nd episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is called "Metamorphosis, Part 2". Around 11:28 PM, Panda discovered Kusakabe near Shibuya Stream, where the remnants of Sukuna and Jogo's showdown were scattered. Kusakabe expressed his belief to Panda that Yuji should be executed due to his inability to control Sukuna. Meanwhile, Choso woke up on floor B3 of Shibuya Station and immediately set out to locate Yuji.

Mei Mei was spotted in Kuala Lumpur at 10:30 pm MYT (11:30 pm JST), speaking with her lawyer about her reasons for fleeing Japan due to safety concerns. She was seen with Ui Ui, having utilized her brother's technique to escape after her confrontation with the Smallpox deity.

At 11:36 pm, Yuji Itadori rushed towards Pseudo-Geto at the remains of the Udagawa Police box. The Curse user unleashed the Catfish Curse on the boy and explained his ability to manipulate Cursed Spirits, allowing him to use multiple Curses simultaneously. He then used a Chain Curse to bind Yuji and continued to subject him to the Catfish Curse.

Mahito attempted to strike Pseudo-Geto, but his attack was avoided. Mahito acknowledged his fate, knowing he was born from humans, as Pseudo-Geto exorcised and consumed the Curse using his Cursed Spirit Manipulation. Pseudo-Geto then revealed the "Maximum" Technique, an esteemed art of Jujutsu on par with Domain Expansions. The Curse Manipulation Technique - Maximum: Uzumaki gathered all available Curses and unleashed a powerful blast of Cursed Energy.

Pseudo-Geto always dismissed this technique as a waste, simply a way to make use of all the lower-grade curses in his arsenal while limiting the use of the diverse abilities that various Curses possess. However, he came to realize that the true purpose of this Maximum technique was to extract the Cursed techniques from Special Grade-1 and Special Grade Curses.

He observed that if Suguru had not been distracted by Tokyo and Shinjuku during the Night Parade of the 100 Demons, he may have defeated Yuta. As Yuji pressed forward, Pseudo-Geto remarked on the strength of Sukuna's vessel.

As he glanced up, he spotted Momo Nishimiya, who had been keeping an eye on him. Upon receiving a signal from Nishimiya, Kamo and Mai launched a coordinated attack on Kenjaku, but he effortlessly dodged both strikes. Miwa, determined to enhance her next attack, made a binding vow to never again wield her katana, but her efforts proved futile.

Pseudo-Geto unleashed Maximum Uzumaki, but Kusakabe saved her just in time. Choso then joined the battle and shocked everyone by revealing that he had a third parent besides his mother and the Curse that had fathered him - Noritoshi Kamo the first, the black sheep of the Kamo clan, had mixed his blood with theirs.

Choso's memories also showed that Noritoshi Kamo had the same stitches as Pseudo-Geto, who casually mentioned that he had possessed many bodies over the years, refusing to be tied to a single identity. Kusakabe and Utahime realized that whoever was possessing Suguru must be over 150 years old.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 22: Yuki Tsukumo

Choso's ability to sense his brothers' deaths was displayed in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 22, where he experienced a powerful flashback of Yuji's demise. This led Choso to view Yuji as his little brother and attempt to provoke a conflict between Yuji and Pseudo-Geto, only to be stopped by Uraume.

During the intense battle, Choso utilized Piercing Blood to remove Uraume from the scene, allowing him to focus on fighting Pseudo-Geto. Meanwhile, Nishimiya, Kamo, Kusakabe, Panda, and Yuji attempted to intervene, only to be thwarted by Uraume's Frost Calm, which immobilized them and Choso. Despite this, Yuji remained unaffected and ultimately freed Choso by shattering the Ice.

Choso wasted no time declaring himself as Yuji's older brother, a claim that Yuji strongly contested. Uraume then unleashed her Ice Fall attack on Yuji, Choso, and Nishimiya, putting their lives in danger. In a tense moment, Yuki Tsukumo arrived just in time to rescue them. With a hint of humor, she then playfully asked Pseudo-Geto a question from years past: "What type of girls do you like?"

Final thoughts

In the season 2 finale of Jujutsu Kaisen, episode 22 sees the final appearance of Mahito in the series. Pseudo-Geto successfully exorcises and assimilates the Curse into his arsenal, extracting Mahito’s abilities in the process. The upcoming finale will address Pseudo-Geto’s plans for these powers, as his true identity continues to puzzle fans. It's worth noting that the entity within Suguru is not Noritoshi Kamo, but someone who also once possessed Noritoshi Kamo.

It remains unclear if Noritoshi Kamo was possessed by the Entity before he gained notoriety. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 22 reveals that, unlike Todo, Choso's claims of being Yuji's brother have some basis in reality. The implications of this revelation are significant and currently beyond full comprehension.

Yuji and Choso's connection suggests that they are both Death Painting Wombs. The revelation of Yuji's true nature and the entity possessing Suguru Geto's true identity will occur between the Itadori Execution and Perfect Preparation arcs, at Mappa's discretion for animation.
