The character deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen are far from finished as the ongoing fights persist. Here is a compilation of five characters who are probable to meet their demise before the manga concludes. Despite belonging to the dark Shonen genre, Jujutsu Kaisen stands out for its merciless narrative style. Throughout the series, numerous beloved characters and even villains have met their tragic ends. However, Gege Akutami, the creator, shows no intention of halting the relentless slaughter anytime soon.
The manga is nearing its end as the climactic battle unfolds between Sukuna and Kenjaku, the main antagonists. Sorcerers are either fully engaged in combat or prepared to join the fight at a moment's notice.
With the ongoing major confrontations in Jujutsu Kaisen, it is expected that several characters will meet their demise before the manga concludes. Therefore, we have compiled a list of five characters who, in our belief, will not survive until the series' end. Warning: this article contains manga spoilers!
5. Fumihiko Takaba
Viz
Currently, Takaba is engaged in a battle against Kenjaku. While Kenjaku, a former comedian turned sorcerer, possesses a formidable technique, Takaba compensates with his exceptional skills and cunning. As per the spoilers from Chapter 242, Kenjaku has discovered a method to overcome his adversary. It is important to note that Kenjaku's fight with Yuta was foreshadowed before the clash between Gojo and Sukuna. If Takaba perishes, only then can the youthful special-grade sorcerer challenge the ancient curse user.
Additionally, considering Kenjaku's role as one of the primary antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen, it would be atypical for a minor character to triumph over him. Even the seasoned special-grade sorcerer, Yuki Tsukumo, proved powerless against Kenjaku. Consequently, the outlook appears bleak for a novice sorcerer like Takaba, who has yet to grasp the full extent of his own abilities.
4. Hiromi Higuruma
Manga Plus
Higuruma, like Takaba, is a newly awakened sorcerer involved in the Culling Game. Both of them have now aligned themselves with Jujutsu High. While Takaba is currently locked in battle with Kenjaku, Higuruma has taken on the challenge of facing Sukuna alongside Yuji.
Although Higuruma possesses considerable strength, it is evident that he is no match for the King of Curses in his true form. While Yuji's abilities remain unknown, it is unlikely that Higuruma will survive until the end of the series. The fact that Sukuna easily defeated Gojo and Kashimo, two of the strongest sorcerers from their era, serves as undeniable evidence.
3. Megumi Fushiguro
Crunchyroll
Megumi's destiny was sealed the moment Sukuna took possession of his body. Gege Akutami, the author, had already stated that among Gojo and the first-year students, only one would survive or be left standing. Up until now, both Nobara and Gojo have already perished. While Nobara's death has yet to be officially confirmed, all signs point to her demise.
Now, the only remaining character from the beloved Jujutsu Kaisen series is Megumi Fushiguro. Sukuna has utilized Megumi's body to manifest in his true form, leaving Megumi's fate uncertain. Although Yuji claimed to have a plan to rescue Megumi, this was before Sukuna's incarnation. As a result, Megumi may not make it to the conclusion of the series.
2. Kenjaku
Crunchyroll
The antagonists will inevitably face consequences for their actions before the story concludes. Kenjaku's objective is to merge the Japanese population with Master Tengen, but the sorcerers are determined to prevent this from happening. While Takaba may not be the one to defeat Kenjaku, there are other capable individuals who can overcome the ancient curse user.
Yuta has made a vow to defeat Kenjaku for the sake of Gojo. He does not want his beloved mentor to experience the pain of killing his closest friend once more. Furthermore, Yuta is the only special-grade sorcerer who stands a chance against Kenjaku. Whether alone or with assistance from others, Kenjaku will meet his demise before the story's culmination.
1. Ryomen Sukuna
Crunchyroll
The undefeated King of Curses must be defeated in order for the manga to conclude. With Sukuna's incarnation, he has unleashed his full power, effortlessly killing two of the strongest sorcerers. However, the battle against him continues, and someone must stop him before he brings destruction upon the world.
The perspective in the manga shifted when Yuji and Higuruma entered the battle against Sukuna. Although it remains uncertain which sorcerer will be the one to defeat him, it is likely that the protagonist, whom everyone is eagerly anticipating, will be the one. Yuji's true potential is still unknown, but he may be the world's only hope.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I have mixed feelings about the potential deaths of these characters. On one hand, I understand that the story needs to progress and that some characters may need to be sacrificed in order to make the story more impactful. On the other hand, I have grown attached to these characters and it would be sad to see them go.
Overall, I think that the deaths of these characters would be a good way to raise the stakes and make the story more exciting. However, I also hope that the author will not kill off too many characters just for the sake of shock value. I believe that the deaths of these characters should serve a purpose and help to move the story forward in a meaningful way.
