Mei Mei makes a comeback to Japan, accompanied by Ui Ui, in Jujutsu Kaisen. She was last seen during the Shibuya Incident Arc. After her triumph over the Smallpox Deity, she and her brother Ui Ui are depicted in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The siblings managed to elude Japan by utilizing Ui Ui's forbidden technique to thwart Pseudo Geto's schemes for the country. The scene depicted Mei Mei's resolve not to return to Japan, as she was seen conversing with an associate over the phone, instructing them to liquidate all their holdings in Japan.

Mei Mei and Ui Ui make a comeback in Japan in Jujutsu Kaisen, appearing in chapter 222 during the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. With the ultimate battle between Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna on the horizon, both sides are seen making their last preparations.

Mei Mei is impressed by the large number of people buying the pay-per-view fight, which she plans to capitalize on by using her Cursed Technique, Black Bird Manipulation, to broadcast the fight and make money from it.

Even Ui Ui appeared delighted by the broadcast, as he was spotted carrying food for the crows that were going to televise the fight.

Thus, it is highly likely that the siblings decided to go back to Japan once they found out that Gojo had returned. His presence meant their safety was assured. Additionally, they stood to make a significant amount of money by streaming the Satoru Gojo vs Ryomen Sukuna fight on a pay-per-view basis.

Their main reason for returning to Japan appears to be the desire to take advantage of the opportunity to make some money. However, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 222 revealed that they were also heavily involved in Yuji Itadori's training, during which he mysteriously swapped bodies with Kusakabe. This suggests that the siblings may have a significant role in Yuji's upcoming abilities in the manga.

Fans may have to wait some time before this is unveiled, as the Jujutsu Sorcerers are currently utilizing Hiromi Higuruma's abilities to battle Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, following his defeat of Satoru Gojo.
