In the previous chapter, Hakari and Uraume continued their intense battle, while Sukuna confessed to his crimes, resulting in Judgeman confiscating his Cursed Technique and sentencing him to death. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 246 spoilers and raw scans reveal Higuruma’s potential as Gojo’s Successor and the plan to save Megumi

According to the spoilers, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 246 is titled “Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 17.”

Yuji and Kusakabe start the chapter trying to rescue Higuruma from Sukuna's Slashes. Kusakabe figures out that not all of Sukuna's slashes are "the Slash that Divides the World." There is Dismantle, the regular slash that flies and activates upon touching the target, and Cleave, the slash that changes its strength based on the opponent's strength.

"The Slash that Divides the World" is essentially an expanded form of Cleave. Any version of Cleave and a direct Dismantle cannot be dodged or subverted, even with defensive techniques. Kusakabe realizes that Sukuna is not using his powerful Fire Technique, likely because he is currently unable to do so.

Higuruma expresses regret for Judgeman's failure to confiscate Sukuna’s CT, but Kusakabe reassures him that Kamutoke alone is sufficient. He pledges to defend Higuruma and ponders the possibility of dying in this place, much to Sukuna's amusement. Sukuna then effortlessly dodges Choso’s Piercing Blood and materializes behind him, inflicting severe damage on the Death Painting.

Ino strikes Sukuna with Nanami's blade, using his 7:3 CT to make an impact. Yuji, Ino, Kusakabe, and Higuruma all join in the attack, impressing Sukuna with their progress. However, this separates Higuruma from Kusakabe and Yuji, while Sukuna targets the Lawyer. In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 246, a flashback shows Higuruma explaining that the Executioner’s Sword only affects the soul recognized as Guilty by Judgeman. Yuji's trial indicated that only Sukuna would be identified, leaving Megumi's soul unharmed.

Yuji highlighted that Higuruma was unable to utilize the Reversed Cursed technique, and with the task of facing Sukuna head-on, his chances of survival were slim. Higuruma affirmed that there was no turning back and expressed his desire to make amends for the lives lost in the Culling Game.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 246 takes us back to the present, with Sukuna surpassing Yuji and launching an attack at Higuruma, who responds with Domain Amplification. Sukuna is impressed by Higuruma's growth in just two months of becoming a Sorcerer and believes that he has the potential to match Gojo.

Shueisha will be on a publication-wide break next week to celebrate Christmas. As a result, Jujutsu Kaisen, along with most other weekly print publications, will also be on a break. The manga will resume with Chapter 247 in the Weekly Shonen Jump issue 6/7. More details about the official release of chapter 246 can be found here.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I am thrilled about the latest chapter 246 and the shocking spoilers it brings. The revelation of Higuruma's untapped potential as Gojo's successor is an exciting twist that adds depth to his character and opens up new possibilities for the future of the series. The intricate plan to rescue Megumi also keeps me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds in the upcoming chapters.

The intense battle between Yuji, Kusakabe, Ino, and Sukuna is a testament to the high-stakes action that Jujutsu Kaisen is known for. The introduction of different types of slashes adds complexity to Sukuna's abilities and makes the fight even more unpredictable. The fact that Sukuna is not using his powerful Fire Technique also raises questions about his current state and adds an element of mystery to the story.
